  • Week 24 - ENC_ - W24 - 6_14_26 Universal Operators
Birthday week. Watched a lot of movies. Got the music gig and set to score and sound design. Working on final negotiations. Took a long bike ride w/ my wife and ate out at new mexican place w/ local friends.  Top notch. Everyone came to hang out after. Best on the island but pricey. Summer heat coming in. VTC called and talked for an hour or so. ABC and T sent card from Texas. Tried to keep it light. AL gave me present w/ new notebook case and notebooks for when I walk around. Started cataloging ideas and concepts from things I consume and think about. Spent a day out reading in the park. T&K gave me new book to try. Need new bike saddle. Old on is disintegrating. Lasted 3 years or so. Running new configuration on bike bags. Handle bar bag to the saddle.
Went to another birthday w/ J&E at fantastic Japanese restaurant that was soon closing. Met a new couple and talked about his work in music and her interests in anime. Discussed life experiences and also comparison of German labor laws/ social programs vs. United states :( Drove home a friend. Got home and made my track.

Operators w/ generative modulation and sequences. All sounds made with Operator. 3 tracks only. Stuck to the limitation. Completed w/ laptop speakers only and visual mixing. Made to slowly come together and then fall apart. It was a quick affair while trying not to over think the outcome. Experimenting only. Committed by exporting and uploading before listen back properly. Want to surprise myself w/ some blind production. Let the universe decide.
Test song made using the new Naive Tracker w/ stock sounds. Made while in the bath w/ the first hour with the software.

  • Week 24 - thawkins - 2026-24
Had an idea to split up the keyboard so I could play the vibes and the bass at the same time. Probably nobody else has ever in the history of MIDI keyboards done anything like this. I am very confident about this thought that I am not even going to research it online.
I then recorded some drums on top and here we go.

  • Week 24 - ONE HIT KILL - Juan Chip Spill - Risa Nes tracker
Only just got my hands on the newly released Risa Tracker for Nes a mere few hours ago. It was so intuitive and easy to use for an LSDJ user. Thank you so much to Laamaa and all who have contributed feedback to the project.
The possibilities are really exciting having a possible 7 voices at once and a much rounder "beep boop" sounding sound chip than lsdj natural.
Enjoy this quick little track I threw together using the analog pocket while I wait for my flash cart to arrive int he post.

  • Week 24 - It'sAlwaysBeenBears - An Encounter
I really love how I always start so many ideas at the beginning of the week only for them to morph into something completely different and on friday or saturday is then the idea for weeklybeats.
this one comes from a modular synth impro thing i found on youtube called "in the attic" and i cut up parts of it and made this super dark techno like thing. i dont think i ever made something aggressive.
the voice is a vocal recording of a friend of mine from a different song but it also fit here really well. the "an encounter" voice is from an old audio book that is public domain on archive.org.

  • Week 24 - rdomain - Biting Tongues
I really love how inspiring I find hardware.  Like a lot of my tracks, I probably wouldn't have created something like this if I was simply creating in the box.
The Oxi One was sequencing everything with the help of Split 2.  The other gear was the Pulsar 23 into the Chroma Console and the Oxi Coral into Clouds. This was recorded into 2 channels of Ableton where the final mix and master happened.  There were no structural edits as this was recorded in one take.
