This is about all the years I typed on a Manual typewriter.   The piece starts in C Major, with me rolling the paper into the machine-- and then ripping it out with a flourish as I did not get it even.  I did this twice. Then I strike an even rhythm and continue on with a very predictable quarter note format, as I try to emulate striking each key with the same weight. Then after a measure of triplets I modulate into F Major finish with a flourish.  I begin with a considerably reduced tempo, measure by measure accelerating.  Safely in F Major, I finish my typing and tear off the sheet with a flourish!

You had a great evening with friends making some stick bread over the flames of a small campfire. You hear the crickets chirping, the cool air blowing through your hair and you take the last sip of beer left in your bottle and then head to bed.

After a great sleep you wake up surrounded by cats and prepare breakfast with your friends and you all have a great time and then suddenly the sky turns dark, strong gusts of wind surprise you and you quickly bring all the stuff back inside to not make it get swept away and only seconds after you are back inside you hear the first thunder and then the rain hits.

Glad all went well. Now you sit on the couch with a open window and quietly watch the rain fall down and the sound of thunder in the background while having a great time talking to each other.

Well that was exactly Saturday to Sunday for me and on classic apticx fashion i obviously did not finish my weeklybeat yet so being inspired by that calm mood i wrote this little thing where i tried to recreate the sound of wind rain and thunder on my m8 with just the wavsynth while creating the lush and warm pads to resemble the calm of sitting there at the window and looking out into the rain.

Not much happened this week besides that so im very happy i felt inspired in the end because besides working not much else happened.

Network opportunity came through AL's former work friends. Work on indie game music and sound design possibly. Unconfirmed. Still talking. Planning on making some demos to see if I am right fit for the project. Submitted educational application to other employment prospects and waiting on responses. Cycled across town on bike to deliver papers for background check. Person not there to talk but was told papers would be delivered. Worked on voting w/ AL. Discussed B-day plans. Cataloged movie collection in spreadsheet. Talked extensively about abstract local organization and led to discussing joining or creating DSA chapter or something else. Reflected on organizing efforts I participated in when I was younger during canvasing, charitable work, and labor advocacy. Always stuck on the internal motivational problem. Everyone always is. Looking at small ways to move the needle. Hoping to do more. Art and social coalition building. Lots of shower thoughts :P Ate out w/ AL  and took some walks. Met up with T&D T&K and had brunch on the long weekend. Reflected on my Dad's stories and his family. Tried to remember family history that is foggy to me. Grateful for my wife. Trying to sleep in my bed and not on the floor. Sleep average greatly improved from years prior. Up from 4.5 to 7 hours.

Song written for the Sega Genesis. Made a few this week. Been enjoying re-visiting pushing against the limitations of old chips lately. Feeling out the FM modulation automation possibilities in this one. Changes don't reoccur until next note is played. Old limitation of Yamaha's FM chips. Deflemask's Genesis rom exporter is broken so skipped hardware recording this time. Instead tinkered with stem export and applied light post production on song to "modernize" it. Interested in exploring this with actual hardware w/ several passes of recording different rom exports w/ muted channels. Completed a few other tracks this week for a compilation. Song length does not meet WB requirements though. Also had a long LSDJ session recorded as a demo for something. Thinking about what to do with the recent long LSDJ stuff.

A little different from what I typically do. I got a good start in a loud bar earlier this week and had been listening to the Mechanicus OST since I saw the sequel recently came out so I'm gonna blame it on that : )

Had hoped to incorporate some eerie guitar sounds from my POG and add another section but need to get to some other work today so will call it good enough. I did get to practice some sidechain stuff with the kick though, all in all was a good week
