  • Week 21 - fdjkkdjf - Intertidal Zone
I cut a few different versions of this, I think I've settled on this one, which is not shy with the reverb but captures the moody instruments a lot better I think

  • Week 21 - Coldsushi - Squash
No time this week, I need to get back to my usual routine of starting a track around tuesday but had too much stress from work, so here's a squashed thingie :) Scratched the itch for some more aggro, but not too convinced by it, we'll see next week!!

  • Week 21 - 0x_colt - IRIDESCENCE
Produced entirely on the Dirtywave M8 tracker.
Had to make this one fully away from home in one evening, so my apologies if it’s a bit shaky of a mix/video. I just took a timelapse from the airbnb I was in and overlaid some stuff onto it.
Let me know what you think down below! Always happy to hear feedback - whether it is constructive criticism or just love.
    Thank you!

  • Week 21 - drj - Cosmic Slinky
Finally managed to upload a beat after missing a few weeks.  Work, life and stuff in the way.  Just couldn't get a beat together.
Broke the dry spell by sitting down with my last upload and remixing, and well... here's a weird trippy thing bouncing around outer space
Gear: Made on the M8, some cleanup in Logic
New tricks learned this week: Got triggered. Really took advantage of trigger envelopes for some cool effects on the pads and plucks.

  • Week 21 - friendlyperiscope - helo plucky
hiii!  haven't been here in a long while, here's a plucky little hello/transmission.  i'm still tired, but a bit more sorted/less overwhelmed, thus you receive this little thing.
i rebuilt my modular, am practicing the piano, getting some routines in (weekly paper planning, people) and am generally a bit less stressed at the moment.  i can even deal with unreasonably warm temperatures, a wondrous thing.  now if only i manage to go to bed on time and it could be a powerful thing.
wait, this is supposed to be about music, maybe: this weeks' thing is one of a bunch of recordings i am doing when i feel like it at the moment.  i came back from superbooth with a need for modulation, rebuilt my small case (52hp x 6u = 104hp) with a few new modules to... modulate things!  not a lot of that in this one actually, but it's fun to play with/on and even has multiple things going on.
next transmission: sometime!  probably not next week, i don't want to get right back into being overwhelmed again.

  • Week 21 - nerBeater - Satori 2 Whom
Visual Description: This image is a chaotic, mixed-media digital collage, serving as album artwork. It is composed of overlapping photographic elements and text overlaid on a textured, pale greenish background that resembles a cracked paving stone or a low-resolution mosaic. Text Overlays: Near the top center, the word "NERBEATER" is written in a thin, elegant, peach-orange serif font. In the middle-left area, the word "SATORI" appears faintly in a pale green color that blends into the background texture. Spanning the center and right side is the word "2 Whom" written in a large, thick, black, semi-cursive, graffiti-style font. Visual Elements: Top Right: A fragment of a black computer keyboard is visible, showing keys like "U," "I," "O," "K," "M,", "SPACE", and "Alt." Left Side: A silver metal desk lamp with a long, adjustable arm stands upright. A microphone hangs from the lamp. Its black cord drapes down diagonally across the left side of the composition. Center/Background: Behind the lamp and text is a large, faint, circular grey outline with a textured, reddish-brown rim, resembling a handpan drum. Right Side: There is a heavy, abstract shape rendered in bright, highly saturated, pixelated colors—primarily blinding neon yellow, acid green, cyan, and stark black. This shapes looks like a distorted or heavily processed musical instrument, piece of clothing, or abstract digital glitch art. Bottom: Thick, sweeping black shapes stretch across the bottom left, blending into dark, sharp-edged shadows that mix with the heavily distorted yellow and green textures at the bottom right. A sliver of a blue wire and a computer desk edge peeks in from the bottom left corner. The overall aesthetic is gritty, glitchy, and industrial, with a raw, DIY collage feel.
