This time a began with the analog rytm a beat and bass and added some splice samples and played a bit the autofilter of ableton- a device, i really like. And the end it's no more than an intermezzo. Do with it, whatever you want..

I didn't feel like I had as much energy nor time to put something together this week. Some things came up this week. Additionally, this was my first week trying out Linux, so I spent a decent amount of time tinkering, especially with configuring my DAW, audio, and some core VSTs that I normally use. However, once I've sat down and started producing (and successfully troubleshooting Linux), I managed to get the ball rolling.

For this week, I wanted to make something more ambient. I struggled initially to come up with an idea and arrangement, but eventually, the pieces came together. This also became an opportunity for me to practice some sound design and figure out different ways I could add more layers to make the track fuller. A lot of it was me tweaking with existing presets, but some of it was me trying to experiment more (for example, the percussion at the end was me throwing random samples into a drum machine and having it play randomly, with a flanger and automated panning for FX).

I think this came out solidly. Hope you enjoy :)

Was pretty excited with this when i started it, but as things rolled along it seemed to take a hard turn from the original vision. Still happy where it landed. Definitely something which could be explored on a revisit.

Been using a SPX90 i got recently for reverbs, has an abrasive kick to it which I'm quite enjoying.

I'm always looking for good string libraries for songs. I'm drawn towards the piano but something about the violin pulls on my interest as well. Anyway, this song draws on use of Mellotroｎ which has a cool historic background.

The song starts with an arp and guitar. Queue in an additional guitar and a little drone action. Add some high hats for a little spice and the layer in some violin like sounds from Melloton. This synth has grown on me since learning about it. Cool stuff. Enjoy.
