Just an average banana.

› Production‹ ProductionThis week I was inspired by a random house track to try something with a similar vibe, without the signature 4 on the floor kick. I guess that just turns it into electro? Who knows? Anyway, what I found interesting is how a simple groove can carry a track the whole way, without too much going on chord-wise. So I tried to keep it stripped back, adding new elements only where there's space for them.

The last part came pretty late and pretty quick. For the longest time, I had no idea how to extend the track after the break. Going back into the same groove felt a bit boring. but in the end some chippy noodling did the job.

This is another M8 track using mostly internal synths, some samples for drums. I also recorded some distant finger snaps in my living room. Not too much going on, though it does build up to using the full 8 tracks towards the end. Quick Logic mastering™ for good measure.

EDIT: Mastered in 10 minutes late at night on headphones, so the low-end is a bit thumpy on this one. Oh well!

Get the M8 bundle

Sorry for the clipped audio X)

A quick hour-long djam with my brother who was sending me drum loops and I put guitar chugging on top. Hope settings and drop C tuning will make up for the lack of a bass track.

Well, that one was pretty relaxed, suitable for the end of chaotic week

Started a proper project for the week but didn't have time to get it across the finish line so late pivot to a quick one.

Played around with the thrift store snare at the end I suck at the ghost notes lol! Also sorry the master is clipping I didn't master

i'm going to see 'ford.' this coming week so i've been listening to a lot of his sort of lo-fi, hiphop electronic tracks. that was the inspiration for my attempts this week. went on looperman to find some vocals and found this hook by jvyzen.

This the season, I'm extra stuffed and the old head feels heavy.

Did I this quickly in an existing cubase project (same vsts, processing, etc) from one of my recent tracks. Recycling is always fun

Experimenting with more jungle drum and bass and drum choppage this week! Always trying to keep the rhythm interesting without too much chaos.. Keep pushing and thanks for listening!

There are places I wanted to take this, but I absolutely did not have time to do so because I started this track an hour ago. A self-made problem, to be sure.

I ... ran outta time this week. This is some kinda weird minimal techno thing. I mean, I like it, but I'm not sure what it is. Then again, that's how I feel about most music.
