It seems I am always composing about my outdoor birds.  The Swallows are back in the garage getting their old nests ready for this season. They are so busy and positive about their upcoming nestlings. They know me, and fly around my head when I come out in the garage to say hi.

Hey! I was working on a new terminal based music app, and I released it today! Check it out here: https://boorch.itch.io/grampus

This tune is a hasty patch, sort of a first test of the app. Enjoy!

I churned this out after I missed my speed writing time yesterday. I was thinking back on old chilling games like Slime Rancher and Webfishing while making this.

I added a bit of "dynamic audio" with music box and the idea of if you're inside or outside one of those games, this is what you'd hear.

Lots of noise in the world, back to UK from my China trip and just wanted to listen to calm.

Harmony Bloom keying an Ableton stock electric piano

Not too much to say about this one, I think it's got a nice atmosphere though - like some kind of sad 80s slow dance song.

An M8 Instrumental song this week. I really like the second part with the drum variations :)

almost an improvised one take piece.  everything was recorded more or less in one take.  loving the colour box on the bass vi, definitely a more rounded tone.

no in the box processing apart from a bit of retro colour on the drums.  all the guitars sounds are straight from my pedalboard.

TIL that you can swap loaded patterns on the Oxi One Mk2 via incoming MIDI PC messages, and the Neuzeit Drop can send those... so this was mostly a technical experiment. This workflow has a lot of potential... it's the snapshot organization on the Drop that mostly fucks me up, but that's a learning process.

Anyway, then I went and overdid it by adding vocal samples again and futzing with the mixing a lot in the DAW while having no idea what I'm doing.

So, have some EDM trash modular jank as always!

Patch notes:

Voices in order of appearance:

- Vhikk X through Ikarie

- Rings through Filter of Crows through Zagrzeb

- Manis Iteritas Alia through Doepfer SEM

- Ensemble Oscillator through Steady State Gate through Belgrad

Drums are the usual. Still in love with Bohm.
