Really starting to lose motivation for WeeklyBeats.

Breaking the streak is inevitable because I'm going on a 6 week long trip without access to my music setup. One or two songs on the phone or laptop is fine, but 6 is too many, so I've decided I'll have to cut it there. It will be the first missed WB weeks since 2018. I think because of that, I've had an even more difficult time with the last couple of weeks, knowing that it will end soon and there's a high likelihood I won't be back again.

I've never been clear on how karma is actually supposed to work, but is it coincidence that last week I was commenting about someone's track reminding me of Hybrid and this is what I ended up with today?

I feel its a habit to say "oh I was busy this week.." but trust me.. I was :D Worked right up until the deadline to get this track and artwork done for y'all.

This started as an excuse to play with 200bpm, however it ended up being a 100bpm jam.. a weird tempo really. I enjoyed working on the arrangement, but with time slipping away, I think I overcooked the delay and echo in places.

Another jam, this one taking a single minor sequence on a sine pluck and running it through buffer slicers. Seven recordings of me messing around with the scan position with different FX trying to maintain some kinda song structure: see, it culminates in a distorted version! It's almost like a chorus!!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my week 11 submission. Hope your WB journey is going well.

I'm traveling this week, so it's been tough to find much time to explore new production techniques and ideas. In a way it's kinda nice to just make something with the skills you know; it's like a snapshot of your skills at a given moment in time.

The title is auto-generated on the M8, and it felt pretty appropriate for the sounds that I built up.

Here are some rough notes:

- pads are FMSynth chords from 4 voices

- the voices of the pads in the last section are wavetables for a little bit more crunchyness

- Eb minor chord progression with a little spice here and there

- I dabbled with ear candy

- the stab-like chords are chopped samples from the first section

- the kick is the 808ISH01 patch from matey

- a lot of the synth movement comes from long-running LFO's on filter cutoff, Resonance, and sample bitrate
