  • Week 14 - Bleeoop - Noise Dawn
Kind of a zero inspiration week and busy with life, so I tried to go for more of an experimental, weird type of drone track.

  • Week 14 - DataJanitor - To the Moon and Back
I've always been fascinated with space, space travel, exploration, etc. So this week was pretty cool for that sort of thing with the crewed Artemis II mission to orbit the moon.
This sounded kinda sci-fi as it was coming together and it just seemed a fitting title.

  • Week 14 - mukti - DENGEKI
This week I had a bit of a riff going with some harsher synths that were almost like an electric guitar, and started to layer on top of that. The track feels like it keeps building, but I didn't get enough variation to build it into anything, so it kinda just keeps going and ends...
I was getting a bit of a charged up vibe, and decided to add a bunch of quotes from 80s cartoons about power. Originally I had the actual cartoon samples, but ended up regenerating them with TTS software or just recorded myself with some modifications.
    Any feedback is appreciated!
The pic is just a logo from the inside of my fuse box ⚡ and "DENGEKI" is the romanized version of the Japanese word for "electric shock."

  • Week 14 - Coldsushi - Lucky
I'm very happy on how this one turned out :3
I wanted to do something cute but of course always adding a bit of my flavor!
With this track and forward I'm focusing more on clean sounds and mix, rather than only pushing volume at crazy levels I wanted to keep a bit more dynamic range between the sections and remove even more what is not necessary to get a clearer but still powerful mix. I did use a couple more samples than usual but I really liked using wavsynth for the cute plucky sound as well as hypersynth for the stabs, bass is a combination of sample and macrosynth <3
    Thank you for listening!!

  • Week 14 - alonemusic - Heart of the Spiral
This week I was in a bit of silly mood. I missed the chance to see Carpenter Brut earlier this year becasue of work and schedules and stuff, and I thought, hey, why not have a play making a bit aggressive synth sound? So theres one of those buried in this track.
I also felt like I wanted to do somethign a bit more chiptune than I have recently, so this has the good ol' NES and GBAs pushed right up in the mix. Good times! Really enjoyed making this one, but I really do need to get out of Drop-D sometime soon...
Art is an experiment with some low-poly 3d models I found for my 3d printer, spray paint, gaffer tape and a game boy camera.

  • Week 14 - drj - Spectral
I realized the power of recording sounds with the M8 on this one. The Foley sounds I made turned out to be the best sounds in the arrangement, IMHO.  Power drills and e-bikes, FTW.
This is my third submission in about 2 months, and I'm realizing the weekly cadence is a bit beyond my skill level and speed though - it's something to aspire too, but not very achievable for me at the moment. I need to work on some more fundamentals and have lots of tools to learn, but will still submit as often as I can manage.
    Arranged entirely on the M8
    Mastered with Logic
    Enjoy!

  • Week 14 - TheDaeVolta - Interstitial
I imagine this track as an interstitial/break in an album - pure vibes, just a way to break up the album a bit
(I have no plans for an album, but who knows?)
