This episode will provide context for what the New WaiLo Trio had said in the aired seventh episode, and make good on the promise made even earlier in the show's sixth episode.

2016 年度最後一集《圍爐》，新．圍爐三人組回顧了今年對自己的意義、劣食 Fusion 菜、展望 2017 年的《圍爐》、繼續討論 #HKSYUProblems 還有風水。最後就是因為朱豬的一心二用而令《圍爐》第一個 Running Gag 因此誕生。 In which the New WaiLo Trio reviewed what 2016 meant to them, bad fusion foods, forecasted the show's future in 2017, discussed more on #HKSYUProblems and Fengshui, as well as giving birth to the show's first ever running gag because of Charles's attempt to record the show while doing something else.

本集新．圍爐三人組只有一個討論題目：美國南方州分用以防止非白人註冊成為選民參與政治的手段之一－文化測試（Literacy Tests），獲三人組「青睞」的州分包括：為德哥帶來靈感的密西西比州、測試難度極端的路易斯安那州、阿拉巴馬州和喬治亞州。 In which the New WaiLo Trio discuss only one very topic: Literacy tests, one of the means for white Americans to bar non-whites from registering to vote and attempting to participate in politics. Tests from 4 Southern states were done by the Trio, including the state that inspired this special - Mississippi, the state that took literacy tests to its extreme - Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia.

久別重逢，今集新．圍爐三人組提及一些網上現象、立法會選舉、粗口及延續上集「樹仁投訴錄」。 In which the NEW WaiLo Trio talked about some online phenomenon, the then-upcoming Hong Kong Legislative Council election, foul language and a continued discussion on issues about the Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

又相隔一個月，圍爐三人組討論文字意義上只會「食腦」的喪屍、錄音時還是熱門話題的當屆文憑試、香港眾志以及在香港通勤的方法（當然少不免說說「今天天氣很好」之類的話題）。In which the WaiLo Trio, after another month had passed, came back to discuss literally brain-consuming zombies, the then hot-button topic of the 2016 HKDSE, Demosisto (with a hiven on the top of the "O") and commuting in Hong Kong (Of course, the weather as well).

相隔（不止）兩個禮拜，《圍爐》終於再次更新。今集《圍爐》三人組決定先回應對於節目長度的評論，然後（不太順利地）討論一下學習實用技巧、懷緬過去的思潮（又稱戀殖）、劇透以及《香港 01》乜乜乜。順帶一提，《圍爐》從本集起將在完結時新增一段片尾曲。 In which the WaiLo Trio, after a (longer than) two weeks' pause, is finally back with discussions on learning practical skills, nostalgia, spoilers, the magazine HK01, so on and so forth, but not entirely smoothly. By the way, from this episode on a sign-off track will be featured on the Podcast.
