Weird Snack Show

Naming conventions? We don't need them. One of the weirder snacks we've eaten with an even weirder cast of characters. Really though, we found this snack locally and the texture blew our minds.

If some durian isn't good, why not more!? The first time we ate durian it was terrible. Not the fruit, no. Just a little spread on a cracker and boom - the Weird Snack Show was born. Now we're back at it again with actually a lovely coconut roll with a hint of durian flavor. Mmmmm.

Sour it is! We bounce from 2 different sour sweets as we love and live through it. There are some moments of pain as the flesh from the roof of our mouth is eroded away by multiple forms of consumable acid. Either way, we rate and tolle-rate these torturous treats to let you know how they taste.

We have to say "au revoir" to our box of French snacks. It was good while it lasted but everything delicious must come to an end. However, just in time for some French Olympics so there - we planned that. Honestly, this box was filled with some of the best tasting things we ever had from Universal Yums. No offense to the other boxes but this one was pretty darn good.

Everything in France is just full of butter, or dense rich ingredients or it's just not French enough. We indulge in some of the most classic French biscuits which first started in 1888. After that we dig into some chocolate truffles that have little tasty popcorn bits in them and just plain caramels too.

Little, sweet and purple. Dang TJ's knows how to do a snack. Ube seems to be everywhere nowadays and for good reason, it's an unplaceable flavor yet sweet and delicious. Yes, it is a purple yam or sweet potato and who knew it could taste so complex. Could someone take a regular sweet potato, add a bunch of sugar and make it taste this good? Maybe...

We are finally finishing our box of Universal Yums from Poland. It was a good trip but now we are done. I think this is finally a lesson to not save all the sweet stuff till the end but will we ever learn? No.
