Welcome to the Season 2 Finale of Welcome To The Spiral! We did it!
In this finale episode, Payton sits down with Lucas Boto, Dave Wilson, and Dru Wilson to discuss who God really is. It is easy to get tangled up, discouraged, and lost in our world today. But we can be encouraged in knowing that God is good, God loves us, God wants us to know him, and most importantly God is FOR us. The hope for this episode is to bring clarity into the discussion of who God Is, and of course, to encourage listeners no matter where they are in their exploration of God, Jesus, and what this all means.
"Give this episode a chance. I know it's not my typical type of topic, but I can promise that no matter where you are in your journey with Jesus, this will give you something to think about...and if you're open to it, this just might change your heart." - Payton
In this episode, Payton discusses the freedom in forgiveness. While it is hard and often times against our nature to forgive others, it's the greatest gift we can give to not only other people, but ourselves.
In this episode, Payton stresses the importance of patience in both the big picture and every day life. She discusses the root of impatience in her own life and explains how personally striving for patience has proved fruitful, no matter how difficult certain seasons of life have been.
In this episode, Payton discusses identity and the importance of the actions and thought processes that contribute to each of our identities. One of the most important things in life is feeling good about who you are. WHO CARES about the ever-changing standards by which we base so much of our lives upon. It’s never too late to grow into the best version of who we are. It takes time and constant refinement.
In this episode, Payton discusses the importance of being intentional in everything you do and pursue. She leans into why it's important to have goals and game plans to achieve those goals. She also explores the possible harm that comes with being the human equivalent of a ping pong ball. DON’T BE CASUAL - BE INTENTIONAL.
In this episode, Payton discusses the importance of letting go of the things, people, and seasons that have passed. Ditch the idea of what you "think" is supposed to happen in your life because it's probably going to turn out differently, if not better.. if you let it. Life is FOR you...keep moving forward. You've got this!
In this episode, Payton discusses cancel culture and why she feels like it is contributing to the division in our world. Is discarding and publicly humiliating other humans for missteps and mistakes really the way to make society better? Payton isn't completely 1-sided about this issue...she also mentions how a "cancel culture" could be good in more extreme cases.
In this episode, Payton discusses the importance of having a stance in most instances, staying grounded in what you believe in and value, and why "being Switzerland" can be harmful. She identifies and elaborates on some of the fears people have when it comes to standing firm in what each of us believes. Payton feels that our current climate as a people requires us to have a stance on most issues, and that the best way to go about this is with love, compassion, and respect for others.
Welcome To The Spiral!

She shares some of her encounters with teachable moments and what her natural reaction is to advice and constructive criticism. She also expands on her personal thought process in these situations.
None of us know it all, and we shouldn't act as if we do. When it comes to life experience, work ethic, or lifestyle, it's always best to listen and keep an open mind -- be teachable!
