Persian is an incredibly fast, skilled, yet dangerous Pokémon. They are very temperamental and will attack randomly, and they make no exceptions for their own trainer. Think about that. You could spend years raising and training with your Persian, but after all that, it might just spontaneously decide to cut your throat open. So if you want to have a Persian… you might want to consider wearing turtleneck sweaters or neck braces as a precaution. There is a Kantonian and Alolan variant, so be sure to take copious notes on both kinds for the quiz today!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s fifty-first lesson on Pokémon biology. In today's class, we will be discussing Dugtrio: the Mole Pokémon and evolved form of Diglett. But is it really an "evolved form"? Truth is, Dugtrio is essentially just identical Diglett triplets that originally came from one single Diglett body. Weird, right? And that's really the only major difference between Dugtrio and Diglett. However, like its predecessor, Dugtrio also has a ground/steel type Alolan form consisting of three Digletts with absolutely epic hair made of steel. Wait, if the hair is made of steel, then could you brush it? Would you have to use a metal brush? Why haven't any scientists tested this!? And as always, there's a pop quiz, so prepare yourselves!

When Venonat evolves into Venomoth, it loses its weirdly cute compound eyes and grows a pair of pale purple wings. Like Butterfree, you must be wary of coming too close to a Venomoth while in flight. Its wings are made of dust-like scales capable of poisoning or paralyzing you! With every winged flutter, there is a chance of death. How beautiful! Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s forty-seventh lesson on Pokémon biology. For today's lesson, we will be discussing Parasect: the Mushroom Pokémon and evolved form of Paras. As with Paras, Parasect has a parasitic relationship with the tochukaso mushroom, which has now completely taken over its mind. This poor creature has been drained of nutrients, and when it's fully depleted, the mushroom forces the Parasect to suck the nutrients out of nearby trees. This process continues until all trees in the area are drained of nutrients... and even then, the tochukaso mushroom is never satisfied. This is hardcore stuff, trainers. Parasects truly deserve your love and affection because they're all going through it. There's plenty more to learn about Parasect, so take detailed notes for the quiz today!

This tiny bug/grass type creature has mushrooms called tochukaso growing on its back. These mushrooms are parasitic and absorb nutrients from Paras in order to grow larger and gain full control of its brain. Yikes. That's actually pretty haunting. Paras is a poor Pokémon that has never had a single desire of its own since birth... let's try not think about it. These mushrooms aren't all bad! The tochukaso are also used by many humans for medicinal purposes, including extending life. So if you want your grandma to live to see 100, then pop some of these bad boys in her curry. And as always, we have another pop quiz today!

Hence its namesake, Vileplume has a giant red flower on top of its head, which flaps loudly while it walks. An important note for trainers to be aware of is that the larger the flower petals are, the more potent its toxic pollen is! This pollen is bad for your allergies and even worse for your nervous system... because it causes paralysis. In fact, Vileplume uses its toxins to paralyze prey before brutally devouring it! You heard that right. It may not look it, but Vileplume is a straight up vicious, carnivorous PREDATOR! Oh, and there's a quiz today, so please take detailed notes in preparation.
