What are you investing your life in, and what will last? #1 RECOGNIZE THE TEMPORARY NATURE OF EARTHLY PURSUITS

Possessions can wear out, be stolen, or lose their importance with time. Jesus tells us to store up treasure in heaven rather than build our lives around what cannot last. This changes how we view both our belongings and our accomplishments. (Matthew 6:19-20)

#2 ALIGN YOUR HEART WITH GOD’S KINGDOM

Jesus says that where your treasure is, your heart will be also. What we pursue and protect reveals what matters to us, whether that is money, status, or something else. Ask God to help you value His purposes above the approval and security this world offers. (Matthew 6:21)

#3 STEWARD YOUR TIME, TALENTS, AND RESOURCES FAITHFULLY

In Jesus’ parable, servants are entrusted with different amounts and are responsible for what they do with them. Your time, abilities, opportunities, and resources are gifts to use faithfully. Begin with what God has placed in your hands, and look for ways to serve Him and help others. (Matthew 25:14-30; Ephesians 2:10)

#4 SET YOUR MIND ON ETERNAL THINGS

Paul urges those who have been raised with Christ to set their minds on things above. Remembering that this life is not all there is helps us make faithful choices now, even when the results are not immediately visible. (Colossians 3:1-2)

#5 PURSUE WHAT WILL LAST FOREVER

Our life is found in Christ, and His return gives believers a lasting hope. Investing in God’s kingdom includes sharing our faith, serving people, and using our resources for His purposes. The goal is to be faithful to Jesus with the life He has given us. (Colossians 3:3-4; Acts 1:8)

Consider where your time, energy, and money are going. Choose one way to use what God has entrusted to you for His purposes this week, and ask Christ to keep shaping what your heart values most.

#1 EMBRACE THE MISSION

After His resurrection, Jesus told His followers to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey His commands. Discipleship is part of the mission He gave His church, and His promise to be with us gives us courage to take part. (Matthew 28:18-20)

#2 START WHERE YOU ARE

You can begin with a child, grandchild, friend, neighbor, coworker, or someone in your church. Look for an opportunity to share your faith and invest in a person God has already placed in your life. (Acts 1:8)

#3 LIVE THE MESSAGE

People learn from the way we live as well as from what we teach. Paul urged believers to follow his example as he followed Christ. That calls us to keep growing in faith and to live in a way that helps others see what following Jesus looks like. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

#4 INVEST IN FAITHFUL PEOPLE

Paul told Timothy to entrust what he had learned to trustworthy people who would be able to teach others. Spending time with someone, reading Scripture together, praying, and helping them grow can prepare that person to encourage others in turn. (2 Timothy 2:2)

#5 HELP OTHERS BEAR LASTING FRUIT

Jesus chose and appointed His followers to bear fruit that lasts. As we help people grow in Christ and equip them to serve, our investment can reach beyond the people we personally teach. (John 15:16)

Think of one person you could encourage in following Jesus. You do not need to know everything before you begin. Take a faithful step, depend on the Holy Spirit, and help that person grow in God’s Word.
