  • Ep 45. The Garden Within | How to Cultivate a Beautiful Heart in a Body-Obsessed World

In this episode, I invite you into a very personal reflection about the human heart and the way God meets us in our inner lives. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking deeply about what Scripture says about the heart – that hidden place where our thoughts, desires, and motivations live. But recently the Lord showed me something in prayer and imagination that changed the way I see my relationship with Him.

In this episode we talk about why the Bible says God is love, how our lives are shaped not just by what we think but by what we love, and why discipleship is really about training our hearts to hunger for the right things. I also reflect honestly on body image, diet culture, and the many years I spent worrying about my outward appearance – only to realise that what ultimately matters is the condition of our hearts.

If you’ve ever struggled with comparison, insecurity, or wondering what truly matters in life, this conversation will encourage you to lift your eyes higher and remember that the Lord is far more interested in cultivating a beautiful heart than a perfect body.

  • Ep 44. The Overflow of the Heart & Partnering with God in Building His Kingdom

I’ve been thinking a lot about the heart lately - what it really means, how it drives everything we do, and how God wants to shape it. In this episode, I share what the Lord showed me when He gave me my word for 2026: the heart. We’ll explore what the Bible says about the heart, the Hebrew word lev, and why Scripture calls it the centre of our inner life, our thoughts, emotions, and decisions. I also dive into Brené Brown’s Atlas of the Heart, which maps 87 human emotions, and reflect on how knowing what we feel can help us connect with God and others more deeply. Then, using Proverbs 24, Habakkuk 2, and 1 Chronicles 29, I unpack how King David’s preparation for the Temple mirrors the way we participate in God’s work today – whether through our gifts, talents, relationships, or daily efforts. This episode is all about layers of truth, the overflow of the heart, and partnering with God in building His Kingdom.

  • Ep 43. The Switch vs. The Dial | Why Consistency Beats Intensity when Building Healthy Habits

Do you feel like you’re always starting over - on Monday, next month, after the holidays - because life keeps knocking you off track with your food, exercise, quiet time, or healthy habits? In this episode I’m sharing the mindset shift that is changing everything for me: moving from the switch (all-or-nothing, perfection or failure) to the dial (grace-filled consistency in real life).

We talk about why so many Christian women feel stuck in the cycle of dieting, body image frustration, and “I’ll try again tomorrow” - and why it’s not a discipline problem. It’s a capacity and willingness gap. I’ll walk you through how to stay consistent with your health goals, your spiritual rhythms, and your habits even when your energy is low, your schedule is full, your hormones are all over the place, or life simply doesn’t go to plan.

This is a conversation about overcoming perfectionism, healing your relationship with food and your body, building sustainable healthy habits, and learning how to show up with self-compassion instead of guilt and shame. You’ll hear practical, real-life examples of what consistency actually looks like in a busy season - from workouts to meals to your time with God - and why “all or something” is the key to lasting transformation.

If you’re a woman who loves Jesus, wants to honour God with your body, is tired of the all-or-nothing mindset, and is ready for a more sustainable, grace-based approach to health, this episode will meet you right where you are and help you move forward.

Because transformation doesn’t come from intensity - it comes from consistent, honest, values-aligned participation in your real life.

  • Ep 42. Why do I Keep Choosing Things that don’t Satisfy? | Disordered Desires + Being Filled by God

This week I came across a social media post that said the story of Eden is really about controlling women and making hunger a moral failure - and I couldn’t just scroll past. In this episode I respond gently but honestly, because while I share the deep desire for women to be free from shame around food and their bodies, I don’t believe that interpretation tells the truth about God, the Bible, or us. I unpack what was actually happening in the Garden, why eating was never the problem, and how misdiagnosing the issue means we miss the real path to healing.

We talk about soul-level hunger, disordered desire, and why our battles with food, approval, comfort, and control are often revealing a deeper longing to be filled by God. I also share a simple way to recognise where our desires have shifted out of order, and the gentle invitation the Lord gives us - not to stop wanting, but to find true satisfaction in Him.

  • Ep 41. Why am I so Unmotivated? | 10 Hidden Causes of Low Motivation + The Power of His Presence

Ever caught yourself saying, “I just have no motivation lately”? Same. After returning from an incredible overseas trip, I expected to slide back into my rhythms feeling refreshed. Instead, everything felt heavy. Time with God felt hard. Workouts felt like a grind. Even simple tasks felt bigger than they should. So I started asking a better question. What if low motivation isn’t the real problem?

In this episode, I unpack ten potential layers underneath or causes of low motivation - from emotional fatigue and fear to shame, grief, hormones, unmet needs, and disconnection. Because what we often label as laziness is usually something far more human… and far more tender.

I also share what the Holy Spirit gently revealed to me about the dry soil of my own heart, and how Deuteronomy 32:2 reframed everything. Sometimes we don’t need more pressure. We need rain - even dew!

If you’ve been feeling stuck, flat, or frustrated with yourself, this episode will help you move from self-criticism to curiosity - and toward true wellbeing: spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

  • Ep 40. Restriction vs. Refrain | An Important Piece of the Weight Loss Puzzle

Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of dieting, restriction, and fear around food - worrying that if you let go, you’ll just keep gaining weight? I know I have. In this episode, I’m sharing a mindset shift that completely changed how I relate to food, my body, and myself: restriction versus refrain.

We unpack what restriction really is, why it keeps the pendulum swinging between extremes, and how moving into a mindset of refrain - making conscious, trusting, in-the-moment decisions - can bring freedom and stability. I share my own journey of facing the fear of weight gain, letting go of rigid rules, and discovering that over time, I could eat freely, live fully, and even lose weight naturally and sustainably without dieting or restriction.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the cycle of fear, control, and guilt around food, this episode is for you. I want you to know that there is a way to step off the pendulum and reclaim trust in your body - and it starts with small, gentle choices you make for yourself.

  • Ep 39. Good, Better, Best | A Mindset Shift for Sustainable Wellbeing

What if the reason you feel stuck isn’t because you don’t know what to do - but because you feel like it has to be done perfectly, or not at all?

In this short mini episode, I’m sharing one of the most transformative mindset shifts I made while healing my relationship with food and my body: the Good, Better, Best principle.

I talk about how perfectionism kept me paralysed for years, why “best” isn’t morally superior, and how learning to choose good - especially in busy, full seasons - helped me build trust with my body, with myself, and with God.

We’ll look at what Good, Better, and Best can actually look like in everyday life - when it comes to food, movement, and even our walk with God - and why consistency matters more than ideal conditions.

If you’re tired of holding yourself to impossibly high standards, this episode is a gentle reminder that good still moves you forward - and progress doesn’t require perfect conditions.

  • Ep 38. Restrictors vs. Permitters | What’s Really Driving My Food Choices?

In today’s episode, I’m unpacking the concept of Restrictors vs. Permitters, a framework originally coined by Geneen Roth, and sharing why I think it can be incredibly helpful (when held gently).

I talk about what it actually means to be a restrictor or a permitter, why this isn’t a personality label but a fluid spectrum, and how many of us move up and down it –depending on the season of life we’re in. I share my own story of spending years as a restrictor, flipping dramatically into permission during pregnancy, and then swinging straight back into restriction again.

We explore what’s really going on underneath these patterns - fear, pressure, anxiety, the nervous system - and why restrictors and permitters aren’t broken or failing but coping in the best way they know how.

I also offer practical, compassionate guidance for both restrictors and permitters, including what growth actually looks like for each, how self-trust is built, and why both control and escape ultimately fall short.

Finally, I bring us back to Jesus - the only place where true rest, safety, relief, and peace are found.
