Restoring Family Harmony: A Thanksgiving Miracle

This Thanksgiving, don't just gather in one place—unite in one spirit.

The world often sees family gatherings as a source of stress and division, but God has a higher purpose for your family. In Adam, the family became divided. In Jesus, the family was restored. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we would be unified like His own oneness with the Father. This is not just a hopeful sentiment; it is your spiritual inheritance.

Consider the early church at Pentecost in Acts 2. They were "in one accord," "in one place." It was a place of supernatural unity for the family of god. Each person had experienced a genuine, personal encounter with the Holy Spirit.

True harmony in a group is the direct result of individual hearts being aligned with God. You can be the starting point for that divine unity in your family. It begins not in convincing others, but in cultivating your own connection to Christ and allowing His peace to overflow from you to them.

Before you gather, take time out for some significant prayer. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit. Ask Him to make you an instrument of the supernatural harmony He desires for your family. Ask Him for a miracle.

1 Corinthians 15:6. Jesus appeared to over 500 believers after His resurrection, but only 120 were present at Pentecost. That number 120 indicates a new order. The family of God was unified.

When you truly discover that Jesus is the Savior, leaving everything behind becomes easy. Why? Because your faith isn’t just a ritual—it’s a reality. 🙏

Too often, we confuse going to church with being a Christian. But with Jesus, it’s not about sitting in a pew—it’s about being sent from the church to live out your faith in the world. 🌍

So, here’s the question: Is your faith a reality, or is it just religion?

Let’s move beyond the routine and step into the life-changing power of a real connection with God.

It’s time to move beyond memorizing Proverbs and start meditating on it until it transforms you from the inside out. Let it search your heart, expose your pride, and bring you to repentance.

When the Word says give to the poor, you are giving to God Himself. Stop trying to predict or control the outcome. You might think your gift will be misused, but God can orchestrate a divine encounter on the way to the liquor store. He can turn a moment of weakness into a testimony of salvation.

Your giving is a seed. Don’t decree death over it. Declare LIFE.

Think from heaven’s perspective and speak the goodness of God over every person you help.

Parenting with Eternity in View. This life is your only chance to prepare for the next. There are no do-overs. In Matthew 28, Jesus gave authority only to His disciples—the right people, in the right place, at the right time. The Great Commission is a mandate for obedient disciples, not casual believers.

Your worship, no matter how passionate, is arrogance if it ignores simple obedience. God values obedience over sacrifice and will not reproduce a spirit of rebellion. Every seed reproduces after its kind; private holiness yields holy fruit.

Parents, what is your children’s spiritual condition? We celebrate their worldly achievements, but these are temporary. God is not calling us to success in this world, but to Himself. Eternal priorities must come first.

In today’s high-achieving world, credentials are king. Degrees, titles, impressive resumes, and social proof all promise opportunity and advancement. Yet, if you’re hungry for meaningful influence and kingdom impact, you need a deeper source.

What if your most effective leadership isn’t built on position or experience, but on nearness to God? This is a life-changing principle that determines not only your authority, but also your legacy.

The Authority to Stand for Righteousness

Fear silences many, but Jesus gave us the authority to take righteous stands. Are you using His authority to stand for righteousness, regardless of the cost?

We fought as a nation for the right to vote and to stand for what is right. Yet today, many shrink back from defending righteousness, while those advancing what is wrong seem emboldened. As Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom shows, even Christians in America may face severe persecution and death for their convictions. This is not about political party or status—it is about taking righteous stands, whatever the cost.

This past weekend, I met with Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears, her husband, and her team—leaders anchored in biblical convictions. When Richmond leaders later asked for the foundation of my stand, the answer came from Jesus himself: “All authority has been given to Me… Go therefore…” (Matthew 28:18–19).

Grateful for the leaders of Advance Church who rose early to seek God’s will. Let’s all resolve to stand boldly for biblical convictions.
