Join me on today’s journey in Part 2 of my interview with Elaine Belson as we continue to discuss emotional wellness (Part 1 - Season 2: episode 3). Elaine has been a clinical social worker for 30yrs, including the Army – which she joined at the age of 42. She has a podcast, "It's More Complicated Than You Think,” about the complexities of human problems and how to solve them. She also maintains a blog, Mentally Speaking, about current events from a psychological perspective. A pragmatist at heart, Ms. Belson makes up analogies, idioms, and 3-step strategies to provide solutions that are easy to understand, remember, and apply. She calls these mantras and is working on a series of “Mantra Books” for anxiety, communication, parenting and self-esteem.

Join me on today’s journey as I interview Tyler Dawley, who has lived in one spot his entire life. That spot is Big Bluff Ranch, the family ranch.
Since he was a kid, driving the ranch truck looking through (not over)
the steering wheel, he has found purpose and passion in working with
the land and animals.
Since 2000, Tyler has been driving innovations on the ranch. Everything
from farmer's markets to grass-fed beef to pasture poultry to direct
marketing over the internet.
Currently, Big Bluff Ranch is one of the largest producers of organic,
pasture-raised, no corn/soy chicken on the west coast.
Now raising the 4th generation of Dawleys on the ranch, Tyler
knows way more about raising chickens on pasture than a normal
person should. Ask him what's going on, and the answer is always the same -
"Just raising chickens and kids.".

Join me on today’s journey as I interview Jeannine Luby, who believes strongly in the power of humor and laughter to help others and herself manage stress and cope with our “pain points” in life…that’s everything from being stuck in traffic to shooing a squirrel off your “squirrel-proof” bird feeder (Jeannine’s least favorite pastime), to bigger stressors like losing a loved one or living with an illness.
Touting the wellness benefits of laughter is what Jeannine does through her business, Laugh to Live. She began the business in 2006 while working in healthcare communications for Blue Cross of NEPA and left her “day job” in 2010 to pursue her business full-time, offering interactive presentations using laughter yoga for conference break-out sessions, ice breakers, corporate wellness programs, retreats, banquets and many other types of gatherings.
In addition to leading laughter yoga, Jeannine has performed comedy improvisation and stand-up comedy for more than 20 years. She now focuses on ladies’ night comedy events at wineries, other women-focused businesses, and corporate events.
Today, Jeannine splits her time between Laugh to Live and her independent marketing communications work. She helps her clients with traditional and social media marketing strategies and website updates, creates content for social media, and writes blog articles and news releases.
In 2021, Jeannine created a new outlet to share inspirational stories from women, laughs—and much more--with her podcast “Uncorked with Funny Wine Girl,” available on Spotify, Apple & Google Podcasts, and others.

Join me on today’s journey as I interview Joe Templin, Human Kaizen Expert and author of the Amazon Kindle #1 New Release "Every Day Excellence". Ultramarathoner, special needs parent, martial arts champion, and worst Cub Scout Leader ever!
As one of six kids (the only normal one, he insists) growing up in a small town and spending time on the family farm, Joe’s parents (John and Barb) instilled a love of learning, the outdoors, and a healthy disrespect for authority while still simultaneously embracing traditional values of hard work and “love thy neighbor but mind your own dang business.” This is Joe’s foundation.
He was severely asthmatic but has become a martial artist and ultradistance runner through his work ethic and love of challenge. He had a speech impediment but has built a career around communicating. This habit of overcoming limitations is a theme in his life and writings.
Joe has three hooligans (Danny, Liam, and Colin) and is a very proud member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, having served multiple times as President of his local Foundation and Chapter Advisor. He has also served on the local, State, and National levels for NAIFA is a Cubmaster (worst one ever if you ask his boys) and is involved with his local Autism Society. Serving others is important to Joe because of how his parents raised him.
Joe loves the Yankees. So, of course, he hates the Red Sox… Poke him during the World Series at your peril!

Join me on today’s journey as I interview Carl Berryman, a Personal Trainer and Impact Guru. Carl has learned how to use the lessons from the gym that helped transform his body in everyday life to create a positive impact in his life and the lives around him. In his own words, Carl shares his philosophy and how he became inspired by impact.
I'm no genius.
I'm just a guy who was tired of failing miserably in life the same way over and over again, and I finally had enough of taking advice from the so-called 'experts.'
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect." - Mark Twain.
Like most couples, my partner and I were stuck in a completely unsatisfying relationship where sex was minimal, communication was weak, and we found ourselves with a roommate instead of a soulmate.
It took a 3-month separation from the love of my life before I finally opened my eyes and realized just how simple relationships and life can be when you think of them in a very different way.
Being a Personal Trainer for 10+ years, I knew why people either struggled or succeeded when it came to building stronger, healthier bodies.
What if the same principles and strategies I used to help people build stronger, healthier bodies could work to help people build stronger, healthier lives?
What if we began to train and nourish our RELATIONSHIPS, our MINDS, and our SOULS the same way we would train and nourish our bodies if we wanted all of them to be as fit, strong, and healthy as possible?
Would it actually be possible to develop a health and fitness program for LIFE?
Not only was it possible, but it was simple.
Not easy, but simple.
Four simple questions and a 10-minute morning routine transformed my life more than any other course, podcast, or audiobook I've ever consumed.
Now, it's time to share it with the world!
