As healthcare organizations continue to consolidate, one of the big challenges these healthcare organizations face is what to do with the data from all of these systems.  One of the most important pieces of data you have to ensure is handled properly is medication history.  No one wants to check multiple systems for medication history and consolidating patients' medication history across multiple systems is a real challenge.  However, doing so in a trusted manner is essential to ensure proper continuity of care for patients.  

This is the problem Dr. Robert Lackey Chief Medical Information Officer at WellSpan Health faced after acquisitions left them with three different EHRs.  At the HIMSS conference, we sat down with Dr. Lackey to learn more about this problem and what he and his team at WellSpan Health did to consolidate medication history across multiple EHRs.
