Actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds speak to Today’s Simon Jack about their acquisition of non-league side Wrexham AFC, a takeover that has had fans dreaming big since the pair took over in February 2021.

With new sponsors such as TikTok and Reynolds’ gin brand Aviation American Gin, the club look to be on the up, though they missed out on promotion to the EFL last season after losing a play-off semi-final to Grimsby Town.

A new documentary – Welcome to Wrexham – that charts the club’s journey with Reynolds and McElhenney at the helm, premieres this week on Disney+.
