Matt, an East Perth football product, was drafted by the West Coast Eagles with pick 9 in the 1990 AFL Draft. He made his debut in 1992 against Hawthorn and then went on to play 29 games at the Eagles before moving to Carlton in 1995, playing a further 58 games including the 1995 premiership.
In this episode, Matthew talks about the early successful years of the Eagles, moving to Carlton, the premiership win, Peter Dean's funny Grand Final podium fall, playing under both Malthouse and Parkin, and competing in the World Masters Games.
A great listen with the sixty-eighth member of 'The 90's Club Footy Podcast'.
