It's the last weekend before the start of the 2019 NRL season and while there might not be any footy on, that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to talk about! This week Joel and Eddie start the Wests Tigers Podcast with a chat about our own team, the beloved black, gold and white. Is Josh Reynolds finished as a first grade NRL player? That's just one question we look to answer. Will the former Canterbury Bulldogs star finally find his feet in Tiger Town? What about Robbie Farah? Can he be our starting hooker through 2019 and keep Jacob Liddle out of the top team? Or, do we play them both this year? Also this week we look at some of the hot topics on the Wests Tigers Forum, look at who should be the favourite for the NRL Premiership this year, name the coach most likely to be sacked this year, and name our favourite, and not so favourite, NRL TV shows. Take a listen to this week's edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and don't forget you can have your say too via the Wests Tigers Forum or through our Contact Us page.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Joel and Eddie are back with Podcast 11, and we finally have some football to talk about, as the Wests Tigers went down 26-16 to the Warriors in our only Trial Game for 2019. Losing by 5 tries to 3, some Tigers’ fans walked away a little downcast from the game. However, having had 24 hours to ponder the performance, the boys dissect some of the team and individual aspects to come out of the game.   The discussion covers some of the positives and negatives of the trial, including whether they think playing just one trial was a mistake, and the overall context of a poor trial display. We dissect the performance of the backs and forwards, and talk about some individual players that impressed, and players that might be under pressure to hold their spots for Round 1.   The boys also discuss whether Michael Maguire has some selection headaches, including whether Benji Marshall or Josh Reynolds should start at five-eight in game 1; should Robbie Farah play 80 minutes; or should Jacob Liddle be in the mix for Round 1? Where did the Warriors get the better of us, and what do we need to improve on before taking on Manly in Round 1?    Thanks for listening again guys and looking forward to ramping up the coverage in the lead up to the kick-off the 2019 NRL season!! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Joel and Eddie are back with Wests Tigers' Podcast Number 9, with the season edging closer, and a number of NRL trial matches and State Cup trial matches over the weekend.  In a special one-part podcast, the boys discuss the State Cup Trial game between the Magpies and the Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground. Joel was there and tells us how the likes of Jacob Liddle, Chris McQueen, Josh Aloiai, Robbie Rochow and Mahe Fonua performed. Which players pushed their claims, whilst which players failed to fire?  Plus some insight into some of the younger players, and a very interesting thing Joel noticed that was different about the side's warm-up before the game.   We also talk about the signing of Robert Jennings and how the Wests Tigers' back line could be reshuffled as a result.  Will Jennings be seen as a centre or a winger, and who could drop out of the side? Plus, trying to get inside the head of Coach Michael Maguire a few days out from naming his NRL side to trial against the Warriors this weekend.   Enjoy and thanks for listening! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
