This week, Senior Fellow at the Migration Policy Institute, Muzaffar Chishti joins Abby in the classroom to help explain sanctuary cities.

Muzaffar walks listeners through the history of sanctuary cities and how they’ve evolved to solely being a safe haven for migrants. He also addresses the role of the 10th Amendment in protecting states from prosecution under federal law and the anonymity of migrants. Later, Muzaffar and Abby reflect on the current state of sanctuary cities as migrants continue to be bused to Washington, D.C, and New York from Texas.
