We note the responsibility of elders in the local body as required by the New Testament pattern, as well as their qualifications in order to serve in that capacity. The pattern also identifies special servants in each local assembly, the work they are to do and the qualifications they need to meet in order to serve. Each assembly is to worship God as He has directed. His directions have been recorded by the inspired writers in the New Testament. We discuss those 5 items of worship and the note that each local assembly follows the same written pattern. There is work that God has assigned to each congregation and we note what that work is. The Lord's New Testament pattern also contains a particular lifestyle that His disciples are to follow.
