Every woman in an abusive situation needs a support team, which includes spiritual support. Though many pastors want to help, knowing what to do can be a challenge. Dr. Steve Tracy of Phoenix Seminary & Mending the Soul shares simple tips and resources every pastor can use to offer effective pastoral care to a survivor and her children. He also mentions the critical role pastors play in creating accountability for the abuser, as well as the benefits and limitations of counseling in providing support to the entire family.
