After Cain had killed his brother, the Lord asked him where his brother was. Cain replied that he did not know, when in fact he knew exactly where Abel was. God declared the ground from which Cain had brought forth crops would now be cursed and he would be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth. Sin always grows, betrays, and separates us from God, His blessings, and His purpose for our lives. Only when we repent are our sins wiped away and we are refreshed in the Lord.
