It's not obvious at first glance or for that matter a 2nd glance, that the structure these appointed times of Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits have something hidden in them. First Fruits is the anchor point for Passover and Unleavened Bread. It also dictates the start of the Hebrew new year, as well as Pentecost by the counting of the Omer. A pint size jar of barley that is counted daily until the 50th day. Jesus is our First Fruits, and John points out that He is the first born of the dead.
Kevin Ivey and Thomas Beaver come together to discuss and discover God's weekly devotional known as Torah Portions. The question on the table is always a very simple one, with often times deep and profound impact: "What Is It?" This we can tell you will be fresh and new every week. We call it, Adventures in Torah!
The purpose is to get the people of the church interacting with each other and with us as to answer the question, what is it to you...this week?
We would encourage people to interact with one another on this channel by leaving your comments regarding each portion discussed and if you'd like, please subscribe.
Thank you for sharing this with your friends and other believers; start talking about the Bible.
