In this episode I get to talk with my friend Jon about music & creativity. I was so looking forward to this conversation with him and it's a great one! He gets into music as a means of expression and an outlet, how it helps people connect with one another, how it helps us process through things, and so much more. Hey friends! This is the last episode in the series I've been doing about growing closer to Jesus and I'm excited about this last episode! It's a shorter one where things are wrapped up and one final point is explored. In this one, we focus on just how involved Jesus is in our day to day lives. He is present and near and working, always. This is a big part of growing closer to him because in this we see the depth of how much he truly cares for us and the level of detail to which he is involved & invested in our lives as well as in the lives of everyone in the world around us. Prayer is a great tool for growing closer to Jesus. Sometimes, we can have misconceptions about prayer. How can those effect the way that we view God? I get into that in today's episode and specifically address how we can experience prayer when in the middle of a storm. Sometimes we can feel like God is far away, dormant, not listening, or maybe even that he doesn't care. What is really going on in those times? 

Something that I have come to see is that God is so much more involved than we sometimes think. He is working and doing immeasurably more right where we are; whether that's in the middle of our darkest moments or at any other time of our lives. He cares so deeply about our hearts- the very core of who we are and is so present with us even when he might feel far.
