  • Episode 12: A Quiet Place (2018)

Rule #1: Don't make a sound. Rule #2: Never leave the path. Rule #3: Red means it's time for the Next Level Radio presentation of WHAT LURKS BEHIND PODCAST ZERO! And this week, your host, Paul Williams, is joined by one half of DC Prime Time and the host of The Showcast Showcase Spotlight, none other than Ben Beck. The terrible twosome will sit down and have a "quiet" conversation about the latest project from John Krasinski, 2018's A QUIET PLACE. Prior to, Paul opens the show up with his opinions on three stories from the latest horror headlines, but the real meat of the show then follows from the conversation had between Paul and Ben. So whatever you do, don't make a sound because if they hear you, you're as good as....well nothing really. This is a recorded show. The hosts can't do anything. So whatever. Just go listen to the show already! Oh and, Paul apologizes for the sound quality of his microphone. He was using a new program and had his volume set a tad bit high, but Ben sounds great, and that's all that matters...so no worries. Better luck next time for our wonderful host. C'est la vie. Now, on with the show...

  • Episode 9: Terrifier (2018)

Sometimes a movie comes along that is just so depraved, yet so much fun, one just can't help but love the movie to death. This week, such a film is featured on the Next Level Network lunatic podcast of What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero. The film being discussed is the 2018 gory slasher flick, TERRIFIER, directed by Damien Leone and starring David Howard Thornton. In this ninth episode of the podcast, Paul reports on a few news stories of the past week, spins a retro style trailer and then slices and dices his way through a (slightly spoiler-y) review on the latest addition to the slasher genre that has fans cheering and salivating for more. Paul also briefly discusses the past appearances of Art the Clown, the actor behind the clown....and I believe there's also a cameo by that infamous "clown prince of crime" from Gotham City. Maybe? You'll have to tune in to find out. So grab your costume, slap on some makeup and get ready to go trick or treating early this year as What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero celebrates the Halloween gem known as TERRIFIER!

  • Episode 8: Deathgasm (2015)

Welcome back Lurkers to another notch in the tombstone, which could also be known as the Next Level Network's "graveyard of gore" podcast. This week's episode is a bit shorter, but still filled with all the fun and screams one can handle. In this episode, Paul quickly spits through the news and gives a chilling recommendation before settling in to this week's steak on the slab, a film known as Deathgasm (from 2015). Along with some cool clips, and a musical number at the end of the show, Paul raises the dead (and bores them right back to death) in the latest installment of the axe-grinding, hair whipping, head banging, raise your heavy metal fist in the air podcast with zombies and sex toys. Yes it's the weekly shamefest known as What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero? with "Pornogrind" Paul Williams. Listen at your own risk. Muahahaha!!!

  • Episode 7: A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Nancy, you are going to listen to this podcast tonight if it kills me. It is now twelve midnight and this is station KRGR leaving the air and making room for this week's sub-par attempt at a credible horror show. Yes, it's What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero, where your host Paul will rant and rave like a lunatic about the news and this week's special presentation; the one and only, A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). There's blurbs about Dawn of the Dead (2004), Shudder Canada's latest additions, the possibility of a Chopping Mall remake and even bit of the luck o' the Irish in regards to a new Leprechaun sequel. But as originally stated, this week's creature feature topic is none other than Wes Craven's slasher sensation, A Nightmare on Elm Street. So lock your door, grab your crucifix, stay up late, don't fall asleep and get ready for Freddy as What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero unleashes on your worst nightmares and fears...or not.

  • Episode 6: The Strangers – Prey at Night (2018)

This week Paul invades your home and your eardrums as he adds to the body count of episodes with this week's installment of the podcast. In this, the sixth cadaver to breach the airwaves, Paul gives his thoughts in regards to the newest horror film to grace the silver screen; that film being "The Strangers: Prey at Night". This sequel to the 2008 cult favorite "The Strangers" just recently made its way to theaters all across North America, and without spoiling anything, Paul talks his feelings towards this second chapter, to give others a sense of what they might be in for should they wish to open the door to 'the strangers' on the other side. Also this week, Paul gives a shout out to fellow network podcast hosts Ben and Rob, as their hit podcast show DC Prime Time will be reaching its 100th episode within the next week. Along with news, laughs and Paul going bat-shit crazy at times, this is the latest bloody massacre from the show known as What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero?. Oh, and do yourself a favor, and hang around for the closing musical number this week. It's a love-making scream, baby!

  • Episode 5: Double Chiller Thriller (2018)

Welcome back everyone to this week's episode of What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero. This week your host, Count Campy aka Paul, recaps a few of the moments from the 2018 Oscar Awards, specifically in regards to the horror genre. Then, he dives into (not one but) two movies as he examines the possession of some poor girl's soul, and celebrates the holiday we lavishly enjoy every October 31st. That's right. You got it! This week he looks at the 2017 hauntingly demonic flick from Netflix, "Veronica", and then he goes trick or treating with the 2017 independent hit film "10/31". So grab your crucifix and a jack-o-lantern, and get ready to take in the ghastly ghoulish reviews of this week's What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero!

  • Episode 4: Critters 2 – The Main Course (1988)

Welcome back kiddies. This week's episode of What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero is a feast of fur-balls and fun as your host, Paul, and guest host Jeff, take a dive into VHS nostalgia with a smorgasbord of a classic known as Critters 2: The Main Course. The podcast has already taken a look at their "cousins", the Gremlins, in Episode One, so now it's time to hang out with the "porcupines from space" and discuss the shenanigans and hoopla that were the dastardly little Crites ("Kill more Crites!"). The discussion of practical effects vs CG effects rears its head as well, and even the topic of movie critics and how to take their opinions finds its way into the fold. Also, the two hosts look at some of the possibilities a TV show surrounding the Critters franchise could venture down. This, and news and recommendations and even a musical track from "Johnny Steele" himself (Terrence Mann) are all featured in this week's epic hour and a half long episode of...What Lurks Behind Podcast Zero! If you dare to continue on, just remember, you've been warned of what lies ahead....
