"What's Cooking With Como" is back on the road for a trip to Barrel Oak Winery & Brewery in Delaplane, VA, for a taste of local Virginia Wine. The family and pet friendly location also features delicious bites and even a place stay - the Winemaker's Cottage is an overnight rental and event location right in the middle of the property. We take you on a tour and talk with Winemaker Jeremy Ligon while we sample a taste right from the barrel.

Let's welcome Angel Gregorio to "What's Cooking with Como" - She is the founder of Spice Suite in Washington, DC. Angel is a creative entrepreneur helping many along the way, and she generously pours back into the community. Her motto is "Food is Fashion" and that philosophy shines through in all she does, including her new addition to Black + Forth - Something Suite. There, they serve up coffee, tea, and sweets. Angel joins Erin in her kitchen to make some tea mocktails and talk about her inspiring journey.

Erin continues her travels this week on Martha’s Vineyard and explores a brand-new restaurant in Oak Bluffs, Black Joy Kitchen. Chef Ting and the team are serving up delicious food and drinks that tells the story of the Black Diaspora. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - and the culinary experience takes you on a flavorful cultural journey from around the world. The team blends fine dining with a warm environment. Every dish is perfected with love. It was one of Erin’s favorite dining experiences in Martha’s Vineyard.

Erin looks forward to the beautiful beaches, incredible sunsets, fresh seafood- especially oysters and lobster rolls- every summer when she visits Martha's Vineyard.

She has done the drive and taken the ferry in the past, but this year took a direct flight from DC to enjoy the best of what New England island life has to offer. 

Since Erin is on vacation, this episode isn't from her home kitchen, rather we took the show on the road to experience a fish sammie tour of the vineyard! AND WOW... it did not disappoint.

Erin adds, "After eight stops and eight different sandwiches - I didn't find a bad bite - just depends on your preference of fish type, preparation, roll, and toppings. The fish is just so fresh the entire tour was a treat full of fresh catches making this experience a foodie's dream."
