Welcome back Whisper Seekers,
What if changing just a few of the words you use every day could change the way you experience your life?
In this episode of Whisper Seekers, I’m taking a closer look at the words we say to ourselves—especially words like “should,” “can’t,” “won’t,” “yet,” and “have to.” These simple words can shape our mindset, influence our confidence, and sometimes keep us from trying, resting, celebrating, or pursuing the things we actually want.
I talk about the power of positive self-talk and how to replace “I can’t” with “I’ll give it a try,” “I should have done more” with “look at what I accomplished,” and “I’m not there yet” with the possibility that you’re already on your way.
We also explore something many of us struggle with: moving the goalpost.
How often do you finally accomplish something you’ve worked towards, to only to immediately create another goal and forget to celebrate the one you just achieved?
This episode is a reminder to pause and recognize how far you’ve come.
• The hidden weight of the word “should”
• How “I can’t” can stop us before we even begin
• Why the word “yet” can create possibility
• Learning to celebrate your wins instead of immediately chasing the next goal
• How negative body talk and self-criticism affect the way we see ourselves
• Giving yourself permission to rest without calling yourself lazy
• Why taking a vacation means leaving your to-do list behind
• Listening to the whispers that show up when life finally gets quiet
• Finding the lesson in difficult days
• How small shifts in language can create bigger shifts in mindset
• Giving yourself permission to try, fail, learn, and try again
• Remembering that your voice, your creativity, and your story matters.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to accomplish everything today. And you certainly don’t have to be perfect before you’re allowed to enjoy your life.
Maybe today’s whisper is simply this:
Be a little kinder to yourself.
And then see what becomes possible.
