One of the acts to perform at this year's Great Escape Festival is London/Belfast based high-energy alternative rock duo REWS consisting of songstress Shauna Tohill and vocalising beat-rocker Collette Williams.

The Great Escape Festival is the biggest music festival of the year in Brighton and takes place from 17th to 19th May. This year a stack of up and coming Irish acts will coming to Brighton to take part.

One of the driving forces behind giving Irish acts a voice abroad is Angela Dorgan of Music From Ireland. We speak to Brian Cumiskey who's grandmother Peggy Curran lived in Brighton between 1948 and 1953. She passed away recently and the family are trying to track down any photos of her and her husband (whom she met in Brighton) from that time.

Niall Horan is one of the most recognised Irish names globally after his stint in the MASSIVELY succesful group One Direction. Well now the man from Westmeath is on a solo world tour which sees him come to Brighton this week. 

On Tuesday night he will take the stage at The Brighton Centre just days after being named as the only 40 year old on the Sunday Times Rich List.

The music of much-loved Belfast singer-songwriter Bap Kennedy is being celebrated with a new release, ‘Raving for Bap’ by The Raving Beauties. All profits from the release will be going to Belfast’s Marie Curie Hospice where Bap passed away after a short and brave fight with cancer in November 2016.
