Overall, last 24 hours really stable, we’ve increased about 100 cases nearly all in Independence Cty, with sadly, their first death. I apologize, but I can’t seem to get information out of Independence County regarding ICU or hospital bed availability.  Six cases in region over last 24 hours;  We’re seeing a significant uptick in cases in the region as testing has increased 5-10 fold over last 2 months.  Our rates per 100,000 population is about 700 cases, with 648 cases out of our entire region of 133,670, with four hospitals.

Overall, last 24 hours really good, last week has been significantly worse for cases, but not deaths.  No death in region in last month or so,   We have only lost seven people in our region, and it appears that the vast majority were nursing home cases in one county.  Six cases in region over last 24 hours;  We’re seeing a significant uptick in cases in the region as testing has increased 5-10 fold over last 2 months.  Our rates per 100,000 population is about 700 cases, with 648 cases out of our entire region of 133,670, with four hospitals.

2017 Arkansas Vital Statistics reports (consistent since 2000)

Annual death rate per 100,000 = 1,011 (death rate from COVID is less than 1/2 that)

Average total death rate for people in Arkansas is 1.01%. or about 1/100.

The death rate for COVID in Arkansas is about 0.0016% or about 1/100th of usual causes.

In our region, 450 people have died since the onset of COVID in our region, and only 7 have died from COVID.   Take heart, and live your lives, just do it responsibly, and think about the other fella.
