The one and only Billy Hubbard and his "Kept Woman" joined me in the studio today. Billy is known for his hilarious stories and genius comedic skills. All of which are derived from true events. Billy has an ingenious way of telling how he grew up rough in the hills of Appalachia, but while making you bust a gut laughing a the same time.
Also, the What's up World Podcast has been given the opportunity to sponsor Billy. Naturally, Dann jumped at the opportunity.
Please check out Billy's hilarious antics on his Tik Tok page linked below.

This is the first episode of WUW with full video. It is also special due to it's guest Carl Marshall. Carl gets a big surprise from Derek who is a fan of the Podcast. Carl inspired Derek to do something special for him this Christmas. Thank You Derek for your gift to Carl, and thanks to Carl himself for being such a good human being.
Also thanks to you the listener. Without you none of this would be possible. Please be patient as this new venture is brand new to Danny and there's a big learning curve to doing Video.
On this episode of Appalachian Table Tales, we take a very fun journey back to a much simpler time. Sharon gives a very detailed and descriptive account of what life was like growing up in the Appalachian hills. People like Sharon are such a precious person to have around. You can really get a sense of her humility and selflessness when it comes to her fellow Appalachians. I really enjoyed listening to her "Twang" as some people calls it. I hope you enjoy this episode of Appalachian Table Tales.
Thank You to the sponsor of Appalachian Table Tales in Backroads of Appalachia.
This Podcast is brought to you by Erik Hubbard and Backroads of Appalachia, AmericorpsVISTA, and also by way of the What's up World Podcast.
This is a short story written by Danny Potter. It features an old man named Eli. Eli is a representation of Danny's Papaw John Henry who resembles Eli in many ways. I hope you enjoy.

In the studio is Taylor Renee Thomas. You'd never imagine Taylor having a story such as the one she tells on this episode of WUW. It's very much like a real-life horror movie. Imagine being shot up by your own Mother at the young age of 6. Most of us cannot begin to comprehend such a violent act. After listening to Taylor, it makes it that much more amazing that she has come out the other side of this as an amazing and accomplished Woman.
Congratulations to Taylor on her new job, helping those who are dealing with the same problems as she did. I'm sure you will guide those people to a brighter and much more fulfilled life.
Abortion is a sensitive subject for all and far too aften those discussing it take the opinions of others to heart and it causes them to hate each other. Every person in the studio today has a different opinion and we tell it. We also walk away from the table with no hard feelings or animosity towards each other. No matter the opinion it's important to remember that it is not our place to judge anyone and ultimately, it's none of anyone's business what they do or decide concerning this subject.
Far too often we look over a very serious part of life which is grief. It can cause someone to make very harsh decisions and very bad mistakes. Darlina joined me in the studio to talk about her grieving process throughout her life when dealing with the loss of loved ones, and how she overcame it.
