We're feeling a little green this week as St. Paddy's day is upon us on Wheelz Up Radio and that only means one thing, The Kick-off of the first East Coast National Event of the season in Florida. This week we welcome special guest host Kelli Barbato, Mike Carr and the "Wagon Boyz" as they talk the latest news and notes from the world of drag racing. On this week's show presented by SASSY RACING ENGINES the gang will talk to Vermont Runner Garner Stone about 2014 Cobra Jet Mustang that runs in the Factory Stock Showdown in NHRA Competition and Factory Super Car Class NMCA. The Gang will also re-cap the Division 2 opener at Gainesville Raceway, the NMCA Race at Bradenton Motorsports Park and look forward to the East Coast Kick-Off of National Events and the Amalie Oil Gatornationals this upcoming weekend.  

Wednesday's Nights guest comes to us from the great state of Vermont. Gardner Stone is a successful business man with his own car dealership and commercial rental business to date. When he has the time Gardner likes to mix it up with his 2014 Cobra Jet Mustang in NHRA & NMCA Competition running in the ever popular Factory Stock Showdown and Factory Super Car Classes. If the name sounds familiar to those in other forms of motorsport’s it's because Gardner was one of the most successful tractor pullers on the East Coast with his "General" turbine engine tractor on the NTPA tour. We will talk with Gardner on Wednesday Night about how he made out at the NMCA event and how he is preparing for the Gatornationals this upcoming weekend.

This week the gang will talk to Division 1 Stock Standout Katie Sepanek as she gears up for the 2016 NHRA season with her 1972 Chevelle. Katie will also tell us what it takes to manage three cars with her husband Jack while traveling the East Coast from race to race. Chris, Mike & Rob will also dissect some race results from around the globe as the IHRA National Event tour kicked off in Orlando, Florida and the NHRA Pacific Division kicked off their season at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

Wednesday's Nights guest comes to us from the Leigh Valley area of Pennslyvania. Katie Sepanek is a multi-time Divisional and National Event winner in her home-built 1972 Chevy Chevelle. What started out as a family project for her and her sister at the age of 14 slowly turned into what is one of the most feared Stockers on the East Coast today. A sports star growing up Katie, was a highly talented basketball player both in high school and college and still holds records to this day. Along with her mother in law Gail and husband Jack, The Sepaneks travel around the East Coast competing in Stock, Super Stock & Super Comp along with Jack being the SRAC Representative for the .90 Categories. We will talk to Katie about this and more this upcoming week on Wheelz-Up Radio.

This week the gang will talk to East Coast Pro Comp Association Standout Stacy Mcglory & Follow-Up with the Drag Race for a Cure group as they make one final push for their event coming up at Orlando Speedworld on March 26th.

The first guest coming up on Wednesday's show is East Coast Pro Comp Association Standout Stacy Mcglory. Stacy is a 23 year old Alcohol Funny Car drag racer for the Champney Card race team. Recently, she finished 5th in the East Coast Pro Comp series. Stacy, has grown-up around Drag Racing all her life and started out in Junior Dragster at the age of 11 before making the jump to an Injected Alcohol Burning Funny Car at age 22. When Stacy is not running the 6.20 index at New England Dragway she is a Mechanical Engineer in North Haven, Ct after graduating from Tufts University with a degree in Engineering. Stacy also is a part of the Girl Scouts STEM Program which encourages more young girls to get involved with careers in math and science.

Next up, we turn our attention to our friends over at the Drag Race for a Cure Program as they are gearing up for their second annual "Drag Race for a Cure" event at Orlando Speedworld which is to benefit Cystic Fibroses. David & Ryan will be back on to talk about any new additions to the race that is coming up on March 26th. They will also be talking about a special "Match Race" that will take place between Ryan and his 2001 S&W Doug Herbert Sponsored Top Dragster and David's 1973 NOS Fed Duster. It should be an interesting race between the two but, all for a great cause.

This week the trio will talk to the owner of Port-A-Tree timing systems Al Smyth, Division 3 Super Stock Standout Brad Zaskowski and look forward to the NHRA tour as they roll into Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in sunny Chandler, Az.

The first guest coming up on Wednesday's show is the co-owner of Port-A-Tree timing systems Al Smyth. Not only is Al the co-owner of Port-A-Tree but, is also the pilot of the SS/AH 1968 Hemi Barracuda in Super Stock Competition. Calling Lebanon Valley Dragway his home Al, started racing while in college and has never left. To date, Al has 7 class wins in the 68 Cuda in Super Stock. Al is also the proud father of young stock standout, daughter Allison and his son, Stephen who travel the east coast running the NHRA Tour with wife Sue.

Next up, we turn our attention to Division 3 Super Stock Stand out Brad Zaskowski. Zaskowski, is a muti-time National & Division event winner in his Zaskowski Builders 1987 Camaro. Along with his father Bill and Brother Kevin, Brad travels around the North Central Division terrorizing the Super Stock class. Brad has been the 2010 & 2012 Division 3 Super Stock Champion and finished off 2015 with a third place finish and lead the National series points up till late in the season. Brad and his team will be gearing up for a trip down south and the start of the 2016 season at Gainesville Dragway and the Division 2 season opener along with the Amalie Oil Gatornationals.
