The question of when life begins is an important one—how you answer can be a matter of life or death. Now, scientifically the answer should be obvious. Life begins at fertilization. At that moment you have a living being. And all the information that makes you is present at fertilization—nothing new is added. So, of course, that tiny being is a life: a person.
And the Bible confirms this truth. God’s Word always treats the unborn child as a person.
Now if every unborn baby—from a tiny, fertilized egg to a newborn—is a person than ending life with an abortion or by discarding embryos is murder.
