I had the privilege of talking with Jennifer Stanley about her journey from singer/performer to home-based businesses. It is truly amazing to hear how each chapter in her life has connected to the next. Jennifer's story beautifully represents how our journeys can change while our deepest longings for a career with purpose can remain.

Today, we focus on remote jobs. In today's world, it is even easier to "work from home." And we want to take time exploring with you both how to get these jobs and who will work best in these types of careers. We answer questions such as "What kind of remote jobs are there?" "How do I interview for a remote job?" "What are the pros/cons for remote jobs?" "Is working from home right for me?"

I didn't realize until posting this podcast that our husbands come from opposite ends of the education spectrum. While Adam has pursued higher learning to the point of acquiring a Master's Degree, he ultimately found his career path led to an industry more based in training than education-Construction and Home Renovation. On the flip side, Phil has achieved a PhD in his pursuit of working within Higher Education. Both these men have incredible insights to share about their career paths and advice to give those pursuing one of these two directions. Although we are talking with our husbands in this double-feature episode, even we learn a little bit about their career journeys so far and hope you will listen in.

As we have discussed in the past, we believe that amongst all of the career paths, being a Stay-at-home-parent is absolutely a career path for some individuals. Because of this, we knew we wanted to talk with an individual who has embraced their role as a professional parent. What is beautiful about Abby's story is that she also has traveled 2 paths-one that had a clear, linear plan for her future and one that felt like a complete curve ball. Abby's vulnerability about her journey into being a full-time mom and a homeschooling mom is powerful. We hope you will give this episode a listen and feel encouraged that while sometimes your path may make an abrupt change, there can be joy in those changes that we never saw coming. 

The beautiful thing about talking with people about their career paths is that while no path is the same, themes of how people journey begin to arise. As we talked with Leo, we got to hear more about his journey into music ministry and songwriting. One of the things I love about Leo's story is how he shares that he is not an academic person, but that it was because of his career goals of going into ministry that he was able to push through school. Leo has also pursued the passion of songwriting as a way to show others God's beauty, and I loved getting to hear more about how he journeyed through those places God has called him.
