  • Like Fiverr But With Agency Level Quality - Christiaan Huynen From Designbro

The Agency Is A Dying Business Model

I had an agency for about 12 years based in london and one day you know I was trying to make an assessment of where am I going to take the company uh what's it going to look like 10 years from now where is it going to look like 15 years from now and at that moment in time it hit me. Agencies are tremendously under pressure.

The agency model as a whole is under pressure.

It hit me with the thoughts that there might not be a company 10 or 15 years from now

From from that point onwards, I started to try and imagine, what type of business will take over. What will disrupt the agency world?

That's really what what sort of got Designbro started.

With a marketplace it's always a challenge to sort of keep both sides in balance and especially in the very beginning because you need very good service providers not just regular service providers.

I mean we like to say we're "agency quality" design so that means you literally need "agency level": designers to be able to make those designs.

We needed a fully functional platform because there were some competitors out there. For example Fiverr and there's quite a few more out there that I feel do something slightly differently.

I think that the biggest differentiator for us was we wanted to really deliver that "agency level" design works and so balancing that was incredibly difficult.

We didn't want to go with  the "contest model" like 99 Designs. It is interesting from a first touch point of view but going beyond that you want to still continue working with that one designer that you really like.

The 99 Designs type of platforms where it's really more about crowdsourcing then you start to get a little bit of a of a race to the bottom in the sense that you know if you're going to invite 100 people to pitch on a single project you know but you're only paying three hundred dollars you know then you're only essentially paying three dollars per design.

How much time will the designer really put in when there is downwards pressure on their commissions?

We we vet all of the designers quite stringently that are allowed to work on the platform. To make sure there is no in-built process that causes diminishing quality. Quite the opposite in fact. Designers have incentives to create the highest quality work possible.

  • Money Doesn't Grow On Trees & Other Self Sabotage - Joey Drolshagen

Subconscious mindset training is is is all about that part of our mindset where the words we use, the way we speak, what thoughts we entertain that are necessary to really live a life that we absolutely love.

The problem is underlying conditioning within the subconscious that causes us to self sabotage. This is a combination of experiences from our lives.

For example,  “Money Doesn’t Grow On Trees”.

I grew up in a struggling family you know financially and I saw that over and over and over that conditioning gets locked within us and we start living through that conditioning so even as we start trying to change our mindset, we still get held up in that conditioning that keeps pulling us back into what we were taught.

I grew up like a low income blue-collar family outside of Detroit Michigan. Both my parents worked and I saw what exhaustive work did to their bodies, their relationship as they struggled financially.

I followed that same conditioning regardless of what my income was.

At 22 years old I heard a speaker whose name was Jack Boland and he spoke and it just lit this passion in the depths of my soul that I really want to spend my life inspiring and motivating people to live better lives.

Joey has got a free 10-minute conversation you can have a chat with him about identifying some subconscious barriers that might be holding you back.

  • From Food Stamps To 6 Figures – Dr Amanda Barrientez

It started with this day where I was on the floor crying because I was looking for housing because I had left my 15-year marriage and then my next relationship was not working out and my ex-husband had lost his job so I had no child support.

I was a grad student with three kids and we lived in a very expensive place and I was going, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live.”

I felt really scared. My free counselor said you need to go on food stamps and I was so embarrassed and ashamed.

I felt like I was falling apart and stuck in survival mode and broken relationships.

What am I going to do in this situation?

I was just laying on the floor crying this one night and I realized that I was the common denominator in the situation.

I thought, “What’s going on here, what’s the problem?” and I realized oh it’s me.

So I decided at that moment that I was going to do whatever it took to shift my reality.

I wanted to be able to figure out how to have a deeply connected and attached healthy relationship.

I don’t want to be stuck in my money world anymore where I feel like I’m scared and not sure what to do.

It led me to podcasts because they were free and I could learn on the go. So I would listen to podcasts when I was driving the kids to school and when I was walking to class etc.

As I learned things, I began to implement them.

Now I’m in my third year right now and I discovered that what I really am good at is helping people unblock what’s stuck unconsciously.

Money is one of those things that’s really obvious to see the outer expression of people’s inner beliefs.

I can break apart people’s money stories quickly and understand what they’re unconsciously believing. People will say, look I’m not happy because of this that and the other and often money is the is the cause that creates that anxiety.

You need to not be worrying about money to fix anything else really.

    What Are Money Blocks?

When you think about money blocks, I like to think about them as competing commitments. What this is is when your unconscious is battling your conscience so 95% of us are run by our unconscious and only five percent by our conscious.

So what happens is often you’ll say that you want something but then you won’t be taking action on it or you won’t be getting what you want and if that’s happening you know you have a competing commitment.

Somewhere in you you have a belief system of thoughts behaviors actions that are keeping you from getting what you want and usually it has to do with some sort of unconscious belief that makes you contradict what you say that you want.

An example would be someone says I want to build a six figure business fast and I want it to be amazing and then they see themselves procrastinating hesitating not taking action every day. So that means that they have a competing commitment. Money blocks are just money-based competing commitments that stop you from achieving the financial success you desire.

So you have unconscious and conflicting thoughts and feelings about money and you can’t get the financial success you desire.

  • What To Do When Clients Stop Calling - Danielle Francisco

"There was a time where the clients that we worked with suddenly left us because some of the budgets have been cut off so there was no campaigns or projects to work on with.

I was struggling to  sell our services and market myself. What I noticed was that every time I go to a meeting I always feel like I'm always qualifying explaining things over and over and over again."

Dan created a podcast and now people come to him

  • Unearth the money that's hiding right in front of you - David Baer

I was pretty darn good at getting new customers I knew how to drive traffic to a website drive phone calls to get the phone ringing to get orders placed depending on what the business was but what I didn't really understand was all of the client retention components that I later learned and and are now sort of critical to what I do.

I would say that one of the things that we really focus on in our current business is helping our clients unearth the money that's hiding right in front of them and what I mean by that is that a lot of businesses are sitting on a gold mine that they don't know is sitting right there.

I try to do is help freelancers become ceos

I try to help people do is re-establish the purpose of why they're doing this company in the first.

  • Sales Questioning Is Still The Most Relevant Skill - Ian Moyse

    Staying Relevant In Sales

The key thing is for me is you've got to stay relevant if you're in sales as a sales person a sales leader manager, whatever your title. You've got to adjust in relevance to your customer how they engage and how they buy.

    Too Much “Average” Going On

I think there's a lot of average going on and I think there's a lot of sales training that training not coaching. A lot of traditional methods being taught that have some value but I don't think they have the intrinsic value they had historically.
