November 9-11, 2024:  The gibbous moon passes Saturn in the southeastern sky after sunset.  Saturn is one of four bright planets that are visible during the nighttime.

November 8, 2024:  Through the end of the year, see Mars with the Beehive star cluster through a binocular.  Venus moves eastward appearing in front of Sagittarius.

November 4, 2024:  After sundown, Venus and the crescent moon are in the southwest.  Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars are visible during the night.

November 3, 2024:  A Venus-Jupiter Opposition occurs tonight.  Venus sets as Jupiter rises.  Spica makes its first morning appearance or heliacal rising.

November 2, 2024:  Planets Uranus and Neptune are visible through a binocular on moonless nights.  Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars are easily visible during nighttime hours.

November 2024:  Find Venus in the southwest sky after sundown.  The planet outshines all other stars tonight.  Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars join a nightly planet parade with Venus at mid-month.

October 30, 2024: Mars is aligned with the Gemini Twins before sunrise.  Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter are visible during nighttime hours.

October 29, 2024: Before sunrise, a pretty crescent moon is in the east-southeastern sky. Look for earthshine.  Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars are visible during nighttime hours.

October 25, 2024:  After sundown, look for a Venus-Antares conjunction low in the southwestern sky.  Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars are visible during the nighttime.
