October 25-28:  Before sunrise, the crescent moon passes Leo in the eastern sky.  Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mars are visible during the night.

October 22-24:  During morning twilight, Red Planet Mars and the moon are high in the southern sky.  Watch the moon approach and pass the planet.

October 21, 2024: A Jupiter-Moon conjunction occurs high in the southwestern sky before sunrise.  During the nighttime hours, Venus, Saturn, and Mars are visible.

October 12-15, 2024: Comet Alert - Look for Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS during evening twilight in the western sky.

October 11-16, 2024: The waxing gibbous moon moves eastward and passes Saturn.  Look for the pair after sundown.

October 10, 2024:  Each night, four bright planets are easily visible.  Venus and Saturn are in the evening sky, while Jupiter and Mars are visible before sunrise.

October 9, 2024:  Jupiter begins the illusion of retrograde in front of Taurus near the horns.  The Jovian Giant passes opposition on December 7th, resuming direct motion on February 4, 2025.

October 5, 2024: After sundown, see a rare Venus, Moon, star gathering in the west-southwest.  The planet and lunar crescent are with Zubenelgenubi, the Scorpion’s southern claw.

October 3, 2024: After sundown, Venus breaks into the southwestern sky.  The Evening Star is visible during nighttime hours along with Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars.

October, 2024:  Brilliant Venus climbs higher in the western evening sky.  It passes in front of the stars of the classic Scorpion.
