Um... Bicurious much?

I get bisexual. I appreciate if Linda Lu can be straight and Mislia can be a lesbian that Sally can be bisexual. I'm not sure a woman who is briefly and accidentally attracted to a "woman" who is an incarnation of a man who knows Genevieve's soft spots and ultimately chooses the initial male version is necessarily bisexual. Seems an easy ride for someone not actually, necessarily bisexual. Seems like an easy out. *shrug* unimpressed

The Debt is a historical romance western about a Civil War vet and the pretty farm owner he falls in love (and lust) with. It has romance, action and humor but it also touches on the struggles and worries that can haunt war veterans and their loved ones. The Debt series is a sweet romance well worth reading.

What happens when the Sheriff comes to town?

In the fourth book of the Debt series, we learn more about Sheriff Grant, his now dead wife, his child. We learn more about Matt, what kind of help he needs, and we see at least one engagement happen. Who is it between? Will it be Joey and May or Matt and Anne? The Sheriff writes a letter to Anne, to check up on things. What does the letter say? How does it make Anne feel? What does it do to her relationship with Matt once she writes back and tells the Sheriff everything is okay, and a few other things? What was it about the letter that made him ride out to the farm to see them? What happens while he is there? What does Grant do that possibly saves Matt's life that night? Read and find out, hopefully there will be another book to this, continuing the story line!

An exciting Historical Romance with humor, and a sexy, broken cowboy

Review:

This is a wonderful series, and if you do not subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, this is your opportunity to get the whole series for the cost of one book. I loved reading about a hero from the civil war that was a Union Soldier. Donât get me wrong, my favorite book ever is Gone With The Wind, but there were heros from the North. Yes I am a Yankee. The battle of Gettysburg was over three years ago, but Matt Stone still has nightmares from that battle. Anything can set him off. Thunder, a gunshot, or a simple loud noise. Matt is suffering from what we know as post traumatic stress disorder and it has him drinking too much to forget his pain. Matt and his faithful horse are making their way across the country. After a run in with some outlaws outside of Reno, Matt makes his way further west. Tired and in need of some whiskey and a woman to help him forget Gettysburg and the three men he left dead after they tried to rob him, Matt stops in a small town for the night. Putting his horse, Lucky, in a stable for the night he warns the attendant to keep an eye on him. Lucky is a very smart horse and breaks out of the stable while the attendant is eating his dinner. You see Lucky has his own plans of getting a little something for the night.

Austin and Janie's story continues in book three of Amelia James' college romance series. Wow, Austin has really screwed up now! Enter, stage left, some competition for Janie's attention and he suddenly has to step it up to win her back. Janie meets Austin's competition in a cooking class and I think I've found a new book boyfriend! I always look forward to Amelia's books and this one was no different!

Amelia James is cooking up a storm of a romance in this book and that storm is hot! Whew! My Kindle got a little to warm to hang on to during some of those hot scenes. Buy this book to read whether Austin and Jane get their HEA and also a sneak peak at a new character in this story! I was given an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

When I found out that there was gonna be another tell me you want me book I was so happy. This book had me happy sad pissed off. I wanted to throw my kindle! The sex was hot. I wanted to strangle Jane and mostly Austin! But they got there in the end. Great job!!!

In need of a creative writing course or two

Dear author, you have a pretty good premise, but please consider attending a creative writing course and/or hiring a good editor. Family members and friends don't always cut it if they aren't experienced novelists. What is lacking? Where to start? I'll limit myself to the fact that this is nothing but the outline of your story. The fact that your chapters don't exceed the 10min. mark tells you that there isn't much development there, just a series of events that talk about 'what happened" but no "how" they happened. I have graded compositions of students who have had the same problem as you, dear author. I always ask them to rewrite their stories one more time, this time thinking of your role as narrator as a guide to a blind person. You can't simply assume that by having a great idea, it'll automatically transfer to paper and that the readers' minds will fill out the rest. That's very lazy storytelling, and with a good story like yours it only needs a bit more effort and experience.

A Happy Tale about a Happy Tail

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a rather short audiobook and can be listened to all at one time. Any story that has to do with dogs and rescue shelters is bound to be a great one !

What did you like best about this story?

I loved hearing that two people who were treated poorly can find happiness again later in life. It gives the listener a good feeling about life's possibilities.

What about Don Colasurd Jr.s performance did you like?

Don was very straightforward in his narration and his voice was clear and enjoyable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was sorry to hear the little dog lost his owner but when he found his new "Mom" he was very happy again.

Hope this isn't the last book in this series.

Maybe because this is the last book to read in this series and I didn't want the series to end but this book seemed shorter than the first 3. Still a great romance and fun read. You will love sweet Lila and sexy Sam and you will wish it was you that found Cooper the dog. It doesn't take long for Sam to bring the true Lila out and her over protective brother is not happy. You will enjoy all your friends from book 1, 2 and 3 as they are a part of this story. Lets hope the author keeps us part of Harper Falls with more books.

Another wonderful book. The series just kept getting better and better. Mary J Williams is an exceptional Author. I will read more of her books. Exciting, romantic and truly entertaining.

I received this book from the author, for which I am so thankful, for an honest review.

My only complaint with this book is that it had to end. I fell in love with Sam and Lila.

Lila has been on her own since her parents died and her brother went off in the service. Her brother is back and is very protective of his sister.

Sam comes to Harper Falls, in the middle of a snow storm, to spend the holidays with Rose and her family and friends. Having to swerve to avoid hitting a dog in the street; he takes the dog to Peony's Flower Shop where he meets Lila. He is looking for the dogs owner and is drawn to the flower shop owner, Lila.

The attraction between the two is off the charts. Lila knows she can't forget the reputation Sam has. He is a known player but is also known to take care of any woman in his bed exquisitely. Lila thinks she can handle a one night stand with Sam.

Alex is very upset about Sam showing up and having his sights on his sister Lila. But she is now grown up and has a mind of her own as she reminds her brother. You must read this book to continue and find out what comes next.

I have been infatuated with Mary J. Williams since her first book, If I Loved You. Each book seems better then the last and you long for the next. Don't hesitate to pick up one of her books you definitely won't be disappointed.

If I could, I would give this book ten stars. And for anyone wondering it is a standalone.

Missing a chapter

I hate giving "Dawn Patrol" (2015) by Jasmine Nightshade a negative review because I enjoyed the story about the romance between a pair of beautiful lovers different in age, race and economic class. The narrator was great, the story well written and the sex steamy. Unfortunately, Chapter 13 is played twice and Chapter 14--an apparently pivotal chapter--is missing. I sent a Goodreads message to the author about the matter but received no reply. Regretfully, not recommended.

Interesting

I enjoyed this book for what it was (a short) but it was a bit too short because it lacked any real substance so after the sexy, it leaves you wanting more from the characters but then it's over, I don't think I would mention this to be read by my friends for a book club read

Well written story that keeps you listening. The narrator carried the story and characters through nicely and was a pleasure to listen to. I dont usually listen to books in this category, but will be looking for more from this author in the future.

An Adventure with a Playboy

I don't know where to begin with The Playboy of Rome, because there is a lot in this story. I guess I should highlight some of the points of the story. We have Lizzie and she has come to Italy to work with Dante's grandfather, but Massimo ended up having a stroke and needed to the family vineyard. However, he didn't tell his grandson that he was suppose to work with Lizzie. When Lizzie shows up he confuses her for extra help. Now these two feels this pull towards one another, but neither one of them wants to act on. They each has their personal reason why they shouldn't. Dante believes that his family is curse when it comes to love, so you could understand why he doesn't want to fall in love. Poor guy, was given bad info when it comes to love. Fortunately, that is all fixed by the end of the story. Now Lizzie grew up feeling unloved, because enter the foster care at young age and believed her mother would come get her. Instead was let down time and time again, so you could see why she wouldn't want to enter into a relationship and end up broken hearted.

Now that's out in the open. I loved The Playboy of Rome, because we have two people that have been influence by the people in there lives and both afraid to let anyone into their hearts. However, they are able to open up to one another. Okay, I shed a few tears for Lizzie, because of the whole feeling unlovable. However, she was just a bubble of happiness even though she had a rough start in life. I love that these two kind of absorbed one another. However, there were some misunderstanding on both ends. Okay, loved this story and message that even though that

"Love is like life--it's a gift not to be squandered."

Both Lizzie and Dante had to learn that love is something to be cherished and willing to embrace no matter what happens in life. Dante almost missed his chance. So, if you are looking a quick get away, take an adventure with The Playboy of Rome.

Sweet Romance set against the Italian countryside

In The Playboy of Rome, the Italian countryside provides a backdrop for romance when an aspiring chef faces off against a reluctant restaurateur over a reality show! Lizzie Alder has given up everything for the opportunity to film her reality show at Ristorante Massimo and with no back up plan, she is determined to convince Dante DeFiore to honor the agreement she entered into with his grandfather.

Dante is in the process of finding a buyer for the restaurant and the signed agreement provided by Lizzie means putting the plans to sell on hold and stepping in for his grandfather on the show. Dante and Lizzie find themselves getting to know each other and dealing with the heat between them (not generated in the kitchen!) Both Dante and Lizzie have different backgrounds but share a lot of similarities.
