Excellent development and story.

Part 1 or 2 depending in which order the books were read. I read A Soldier's Promise first but at times when reading this story it seemed like it could have come first.

The writing wasn't bad, however

Overall, I thought this was a decent book. The writing wasn't bad, however, it felt a bit corny at times. I read the book quickly and it held my attention to the point where I never felt like I should quit reading the book. However, when trying to come up with ways to describe the plot and writing the one word that keeps coming to mind is decent.

It was good that it was short because it felt like not a lot happened. The entire book was Sydney and Lane both obviously having feelings for each other, but doing nothing about it. The whole book I felt as though I was just waiting for the two of them to end up together, making it very predictable. That being said I do enjoy happy endings so that did make the ending nice.

Didn't get enough of them together

They didn't realize until the last few pages that they were right for each other? I need more than that. She's a good author. A few too many blanks. They pull up to the school ambulances are there a storm had happened. Then chapter one one year later. Sara lanes wife is dead along with 20 other people. Did the school collapse? I need a few more details. Nothing gory but something. He dated two women before he realized he loved Sydney? Just wasn't my cup of tea.

Suspenseful romance

This was an interesting story that held my attention throughout - but it's not as light-hearted as the past Blaze stories I've read. That being said, I did laugh in several spots. The overall concept for the book was intriguing and there is a lot of smexy going on - definitely Blaze territory.

For some reason, though, I didn't feel a strong connection to these characters. Maybe because I couldn't identify with / understand Holly's decisions? If I had been in Holly's position, I would have been all over the opportunity to be with Nick from the get-go instead of fighting the obvious attraction.

There is a suspense element to this story that had an interesting conclusion, even though it did seem to come out of left field. It would have been a nice addition if the author had teed up several possible perpetrators for the mischief that was going on. That way we would have been left guessing, but without feeling a little blindsided.

Either way - a good read for a rainy afternoon.

"Triple Threat" is a sizzler not to be missed...

Triple Threat has suspense, sizzle, humor, drama, sizzle and two main characters who are so well crafted you are sad when the book ends because you want the next chapter now! (And did I mention sizzle?) This is a modern romance with depth and an engaging plot.

Regina Kyle's characters and the world of theater are extremely real. The plot is riveting and keeps you engaged to the end. I highly recommend this book!

Can't wait for the rest of the series! Brava Regina!!

Smart, Sexy and Fun

I don't read many romance books, but I was impressed with The Art of Seduction. It's hard to believe this is Regina Kyle's first book. I loved it. The story was gripping and Nick and Holly are characters you want to root for. Regina writes her characters with such care, sass and with great humor. Oh and then there's the sex scenes. WOW. I'll be pre-ordering her next book as soon as I can!

Regina Kyle hit a home run with this book!

Regina Kyle did one heck of a job with her debut. Triple Threat will capture your attention until the very last page. Well, to be honest this book captured my attention as soon as I saw this cover, but the writing style of Regina Kyle and her amazing characters made me want to keep reading. This is one book you're going to want to buy for your e-reader and for your bookcase at home. The relationship between Nick and Holly will leave you feeling envious. I read a few books where I was left thinking that the hero and heroine shouldn't be together because I didn't feel a connection between them. This author definitely made me feel a connection. I was emotionally invested with these characters and their lives.

Double Take (Harlequin Blaze/Unrated!)

I liked this book. I have bought all the books about different members of the Santori family. I always like to get books about family members when I can. It's fun to see what happens to each family member.

Double Take

Double Take is a fast-paced, sexy read with two protagonists who meet when their lives are at a crossroads. Mikeâs a cop who tired of constantly putting his life on the line while working for the Chicago P.D. Heâs seeing if life in the slow lane as a small town chief of police is for him, and his plans donât involve being fiercely attracted to Wild Boar Islandâs newest substitute teacher. While Mikeâs a hot, protective hero whoâs easy to like, itâs the subject of his desire who really makes Double Take memorable. Lindsey Smith is a sex therapist who needs to lie low after the media turns her serious research into a meme-worthy joke. I not only adored Lindsey, my heart broke for her. Sheâs a hardworking, intelligent woman who doesnât deserve the ridicule heaped on her.

Unfortunately, Wild Boar Island may not be the best place for Lindsey to get a fresh start. Though Iâm sure there are plenty of lovely residents in the small town, the ones highlighted in the story made me cringe and overall made the tale slightly less enjoyable. But when the story isnât focused on Lindsey and Mike avoiding slimy men or self-righteous harridans, it sparkles with humor and steams with sexual tension. Both in bed and out, Mike and Lindsey make a great couple and it was a joy to watch them overcome their internal barriers (most of them Lindseyâs) to get the happily ever after they deserve.

Double Take is erotic, emotional, and ultimately enjoyable. Fans of author Leslie Kellyâs Santori family will be delighted by the cameos some of her past heroes and heroines make. As for me, Double Take is my first Santori tale and Iâm intrigued enough by these sexy Italians to take a peek into Ms. Kellyâs Santori backlist.

Iâm pretty excited that Leslie Kelly is writing books about the Santori Family again and although itâs another branch, in Double Take some of the original Santoriâs show up to add some much needed hilarity and good old fashion ribbing on behalf of their younger cousin.

Loved this book - couldn't put it down. I read a lot of harlequin blaze and this was the first in a while that caught my attention and kept it the whole way through. I have since read 2 more books by Jillian Burns.

MMMM, there is nothing better than an excellent romance. "Cabin Fever" lets you escape from reality and land on a cruise ship handing to the Caribbean. On board is a down to Earth mouth watering fireman that won the trip in a "Sexiest Average Joe" contest his sisters entered him into without his knowledge. Well, the sexiest average Joe is just that Joe, Joe Tedesco. But the contest has certain stipulations according the Miss Carly Pendleton with Carly's Couture, a fashion blog. Once on board things do not go according to plan(does it ever) and that just adds to the juiciness of the story. You can not help to get caught up with the pressure that builds between Joe and Carly. Sometimes you just can't fight fate and in this case why would you. And sometimes it is fate that lands you in the wrong bed. All I can tell you is that when that pressure blows between Joe and Carly, you will not want to miss it.

Wrong bed, right people

This fun, wrong bed novel was a pleasantly original take on the sexy fireman trope. I liked both main characters and their motivations were clear and understandable. It did bother me that Joeâs surprise entry into the contest was only guessed at but never confirmed. This omission makes the entire premise seem simply too convenient and underlies the rest of the story with an element of doubt. Despite that, it was a lot of fun to read.

This 4 1/2 star fun entry to the "Wrong Bed" books taps into deep emotional waters, from prickly Carly to Joe, who embodies his title of "Sexiest Average Joe." Even supermodel Piper is a surprisingly sympathetic character. Jillian Burns never lets her readers down, and this sizzling tale is no exception.

Having listened to this combo of writer and narrator before, I was glad to get a chance to again...and this little story did not disappoint me! It is a quick and well written romance tale, of 2 people coming together by chance, and falling in love...Chloe and Flynn are both coming off bad relationships and have a chance drunken meeting that turns into forever....I loved it...well worth a listen!!!

A Beautiful Story...

This story is so beautiful! While listed as an erotic romance, it is much more than that. It is a story of love and hope and determination. Yes it has it's erotic times too, but it also made me laugh, made me cry, Kept me on the edge of my seat at times and even made me feel humble. So there are so many emotions in this short story! For being small, it really packs a wallop!

The author, Abbie St Claire does a superb job on this story. Her writing style is unique and she has a way of making you feel everything she writes! It is a rare thing when you feel each emotion like you are there! It is a fantastic story too! The narrator Pamela Peters once again does a fabulous job on the delivery of this book! She has a smooth, warm way with her voices that make me feel at home while I listen to them. I love all her voices, accents and emotions she puts into her voices! The two together are explosive! Great job ladies!

Serious page turner

I loved this book. The chemistry and tension between Sam and Kyle drives the story with enough give and take, push and pull that it keeps the pace going through the book. Even when things take a turn for the really bad and you're sitting on the edge of your seat biting your nails hoping he... hang on. I can't give that part away. Needless to say, this is a serious page turner!

I must say that I got more than I was expecting in this short read. It was packed full of loss, laughter, witty banter, danger, and suspense. Oh yeah, it was also H-O-T! Let me tell you, from the minute their eyes met at a neighborhood party, there was a connection. I felt their intense chemistry through my kindle, it almost burst into flames. Both Max & Samantha were players, determined to enjoy themselves while avoiding relationships. At least that's what Sam used to do, before IT happened. Back when she was still herself. But that Sam has been missing for almost a year. In her place is a lonely hermit who stopped living, stopped feeling, because it's better to be numb, right? Well, it seems that being eye-fu@ked by a sexy stranger can sometimes turn your black-and-white world back into one with color. Who woulda thunk it? Max sees something in Sam, maybe what she's been hiding? Maybe a glimpse of the woman she used to be. Whatever he sees, he really, really likes. He's not used to chasing women, he's usually the one being chased by them. But there's just something about Sam that makes all the others pale in comparison. Too bad she's decided he's a manwhore, and that he can't be trusted with her feelings that have started to thaw out after being frozen for so long. She can't risk another devastating loss.
