This is a wonderful short story rhat will peak one's interest right from the start!. Two total strangers meet by chance and discover romance at first sight. I enjoyed this immensely and wish there were more to this story. The narrator did ok but would have liked to have more voices for the characters.

A tale of when your adult life catches up with your childhood, or was it the other way around. Cute, clean cut (for the most part) characters finding their path in life.

Narration was good, and recording quality better than other audio books by same author. It was much easier to listen to this recording.

What about Giselle Lumass performance did you like?

Lumas didn't get in the way of the characters of the plot with her performance. This is a hard skill to master.

Christian Theme Romance - Short But Very Good

When they were 12 years old and playing a game of Truth or Dare with their friends, nerdy, Mark Robinson dared beautiful Cheyenne to marry him when they were 30. If she cared, she would ask him to marry her.

Fast forward a couple of decades and Cheyenne is a supermodel who returns to her hometown after finding out an awful secret.

Mark is surprised to see her at church, in their little hometown. But he is happy as can be.

Cheyenne tries to find a life after being a supermodel, as she is getting older and the models are getting younger. She returns to her hometown to try to figure some things out.

The big question is, will either of them remember the dare from when they were 12 years old? Are either of them of them already in a relationship as Cheyenne was?

Enjoy their antics as well as the antics of their friends in this cute, short novel.

This book was performed by the author. She did a good job and I am pleased with it.

Notes: Some semi mature topics

Stars: 4 overall, 3.5 for performance & 3.5 stars for the actual story.

What character would you cut from White Man's World?

Perhaps if the guy had seen her before & liked her from a far. Perhaps she saw him doing something kind & noble.. Soulful admiration can lead to lust.. Washing cars for a cancer charity then taking off his shirt could make her lustful.. He could have seen her give her sandwhich to a homelss person know that she didn't have money to buy anything else.. Perhaps she bent over to help a co-worker clean a spill on the floor & HE caught a peek of her full brown rack in a royal purple bra (his favorite color). He/she could have had a day dreams of each other. THEN, the moment happen that they lost control. Of course they would be embarassed after (the sex romp) but, the story could end with them giving each other a devilish smile. CLIFFHANGER

My Thoughts

First let me just say that friends to lovers romance is one of my favorite formulas, in this case it is also one that worked well because Alan and Julie really had a good vibe together and it made their vacation hookup believable as well as totally fun to watch unfold.

Working together for years has left Alan and Julie comfortable with each other, their ability to compartmentalize their feelings for one another has made the office relationship one of easy friendship without the complication of physical attraction causing friction between them. However now having both won a tropical vacation to Hawaii both Alan and Julie find themselves responding to each other as more than just friends, the romantic ambiance of the hotel combined with the potent alcoholic beverages break down the defenses both have erected and the sparks fly fast and hot!

Throughout this story there are cutesy references and jokes that in some ways are juvenile but fit the characters of Alan and Julie even though they are old enough that some of the exchanges could have fallen flat.

The V-Spot hits the spot!

Emma Masters is a big girl with equally big plans for her 25th birthday.

According to her best friend, Sadie, "Every woman deserves a good f#*k on her birthday. If she's not in a relationship, it's her best friend's responsibility to see that she gets it." What Emma really needs is a man who can handle a big girl like herself. With that in mind, she sets Emma up for an evening at the V-Spot, a voyeur motel, and to make sure her evening is as absolutely big as it can be, also sets her up on a blind date with Brody "The Bull" Bullock, a professional wrestler who pays monthly visits to the pediatric ward where Emma works as a nurse.

Brody won me over from the moment he crashed through the door of the motel lobby. He's big alright, muscled and as straight forward as they come, but the largest thing about him is his heart. Emma has all the insecurities that most full figured gals harbor, but all Brody sees is a desirable, caring woman.

I love the way Emma is open and honest with her experience at the V-spot, and the way Brody urges and seduces her, and then makes all her fantasies happen.

There are laugh out loud moments, make you reach for a fan moments, and moments when you just sigh.

A great story and a unique setting.

Emma is a plus size nurse. She meets wrestler Brody when he visits her pediatric patients in costume and doesn't care much for him. But Brody liked what he sees and when he hears her friend is arranging a blind date for Emma for her birthday he asks to be at the top of the list.

I really enjoyed this story that has a very unique main location: a Voyeur Motel. ;) I loved that these were real characters and I couldn't help falling for Brody who just wanted Emma to see the man behind the character he played in the ring.

Bite-Sized Morsel of Sexy Fun!!

The V-Spot is such a HOOT!! Sparkling dialogue and sexy fun with a smidge of poignancy. I knew I was hooked when the heroine took off her Spanx in the parking lot. The V-Spot is the perfect, bite-sized morsel!! Can't wait to read more from Wendy S. Marcus!!

The writing is witty, funny and entertaining. However, the characters are very shallowly developed and not very believable. The plot line is similarly perfunctory.

What I Liked:

Well, it's been quite some time since I picked up a romance read! My last review posted on my site - of Spinning Gold by Vivi Andrews - was written months ago, as I read the book months ago. I've been reading a lot of Young Adult novels recently - and quite a few of them have been sequels, which is nice.

Not sure but the whispering type voice got hard to hear in the car at times. It may be how she was told to read it, but it showed very little emotion
