Publisher's Summary:

One of the great tragedies of our time is that we have the tools and technologies available to us to free up our time and open up our lives to learning, creating, relaxing, and building. And yet...we are so attached to being busy that we spend most of our time looking forward, looking backward, and missing those things that are right in front of us.

TIME stands for "This Is My Energy."

When we look at time as the precious thing that it is, our energy, a measure of our life force, our entire take on how to manage it starts to shift.

It's time to stop participating in the insane cycle of cramming every day to overflowing, working ourselves into the ground, and feeling stressed and exhausted all the time. Stepping away from that doesn't mean that we'll be shirking responsibilities; it means we'll be focusing on what is truly important and spending our TIME (read energy) there, where it can make the biggest impact.

There is more to life than being busy, and until we stop, breathe, and get our feet firmly planted on the ground we are not going to be able to see or experience the peace and deep satisfaction that comes from truly engaging in the things that are important to us.

This guide will help change how you look at time management and encourage you to stop counting minutes and start making memories. By focusing in on those things that are the most important, you will learn how to be exactly as busy as you need to be to build the life you want.

You will learn to:

Sexist premise

Poor Karen,

She has a difficult choice, many difficult choices in fact. Perhaps if she had just made the correct choice at the start and married a man who was willing to share housework and was able to undertake something as outrageous as actually cooking she wouldn't be in the predicament!!

The only solution offered to the prospect of Poor Karen reducing housework and cooking if for her husband to pay a cleaner or order takeout!! Unbelievable.

Title: Steps to a Better Life and Relationship

Subtitle: How to Live a Better Life and Have a Successful Relationship

Author: Anthony Ekanem

Narrator: Jeffrey Patton

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 11 mins

Language: English

Release date: 05-08-15

Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration

Publisher's Summary:

Everyone has a legitimate desire to have a better life. Having a better life could mean different things to different people. What a man considers to be a better life may be different from what a woman considers to be better. Also what a young person considers a better life would be different from what an older person considers a better life. For young people in their 20s, a better life could mean having many materials things (car, house, clothes, money, etc.), which they believe would make them happy.

For older people, a better life would be living their dreams, with lots of passion, laughter, and love, which of course bring happiness to them. Not a material thing in sight! Even though our definition of what a better life is can change over the years, the steps we take to attain that better life don't really change. As Elbert Hubbard said, a sculptor creates the beautiful statue through a process of chipping away the parts of the marble that are not needed. This process of elimination is what we need to take onboard as we try to eliminate those things we do that prevent us from attaining better lives for ourselves.

No matter your age or gender, and whatever "better life" means to you, you can attain that legitimate desire by chipping away those parts of your life that are not needed. Also, if you do want to create change in your life, get clear on the definition of what a better life is for YOU. This will help you identify the key things that you need to stop doing so you can have a better life.

Publisher's Summary:

In this two-in-one box set, we will look at two key areas habit stacking: goal setting, and how to avoid procrastination when trying to achieve your life goals.

Have you ever noticed that some people seem to be able to get an enormous amount of work done in a single day while others struggle with one task? The difference is that people that are able to get a lot of things done know what is involved in getting important things done and they know how to create an action plan to achieve whatever they want to achieve, whether that is throughout the course of a single day or something that is more cumulative over the course of a lifetime. It is related to goal setting and more importantly, to habit stacking. They have essentially figured out a way to live their lives that helps them be more productive and realize the things that are truly important to them while others continue to struggle. Title: I Can't Believe My Mom Was Right

Subtitle: An Immigrant Mother's Simple, Insightful and Wacky Advice for Everything including Relationships, Family, Career, Money and Creating the Life You Want

Author: Darrin Gee

Narrator: Adam Schulmerich

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 57 mins

Language: English

Release date: 02-16-15

Publisher: Gee & Company LLC

Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 4 votes

Genres: Self Development, Motivation & Inspiration

Publisher's Summary:

National best-selling author Darrin Gee shares insight and laughter as he looks at words of wisdom imparted by his mother.

Have you ever listened (really listened) to your mom's advice? If you're like most people, you cringe and avoid the suggestions your mom offers, especially when it has to do with how you run your life. But, if you take a step back and objectively hear what she says, every now and then, sage-like advice and insight just might shine through.

My immigrant mother came to the United States 60 years ago for graduate school, but it turned out that her practical approach to life was all the education she needed to live a long and happy life. With the complexities and speed of today's world taking us from one place to another without much thought or meaning, my mother's simple words and advice for happiness apply more than ever.

I Can't Believe My Mom was Right offers practical advice, laughter, inspiration, and at times, insightful wisdom from the one person we rarely give enough credit - a mom. See how the best advice you may have ever received in life is from the person who brought you into this world.

Members Reviews:

Wonderful and Practical!

Just finished reading this wonderful book! I learned so much from parenting to running a household, and of course everything else in life! Can't wait to put some of the wisdom into practice! I would suggest a future biography about the mom's upbringing and education background. She is such an amazing woman, always so positive and so charismatic. I would like to know what made her the way she is.

Mom!

What else can I say!

I'm a mom! LOL

One Star

Not worth the $$

There is NOTHING as humiliating as realizing that your parents were smarter then you thought.

And there is no luckier person on earth than one who was raised by loving, wise parents. This author and his siblings were born to two intelligent, hard-working Chinese immigrants who successfully made a good life for themselves in a strange new land. They never became wealthy, but they gave their children the greatest "wealth" of all - secure childhoods and a lifetime of good examples.

While the crux of this wonderful book is Mama Gee's constant supply of advice (from Penicillin to Pork Rinds) her continuing influence on the lives of her children and grandchildren comes not from what she said, but from the role model she provided. I don't know when I've read anything more entertaining and touching than Gee's stories of his warm-hearted, but tough-minded mother and the lessons that she taught.

Frugality, hard work, generosity, and gratitude are qualities that we only begin to really appreciate as we raise our own families. And the most incredible thing about Mrs. Gee is that she has never stopped learning and growing herself. She's a remarkable woman and this is a great book.

GREAT FUN CUTE BOOK I LOVED IT.

THIS BOOK IS DELIGHTFUL. SO FUNNY. MOM GEE SURE A COLORFUL CHINESE LADY AND HER HUSBAND WAS COLORFUL AS WELL. SUCH A CUTE BOOK ABOUT THE CHINESE AMERICAN FAMILY GEE . FUNNY LITTLE STORIES OF WHAT SHE TOLD THEM AS WISDOM AND I LAUGHTER OUT LOUD. LOVED IT. I BOUGHT ANOTHER COPY FOR THE DAUGTHER OF A GIRLFRIEND.

Good!

Would you listen to Super NLP again? Why?

I think its useful book for people who just started to practice NLP. You learn about basic methods of NLP, you will can understand why you need or not to practice NLP. Easy language and narration.

Dreadful. Makes NLP incomprehensible

What disappointed you about Super NLP?

So poorly written that it makes NLP almost incomprehensible. The narration was so robotic that it was unpleasant to listen to.

Would you ever listen to anything by John Davis again?

Not intentionally. Ever.

What didnt you like about Jason Lowetts performance?

It was robotic, loud and without any variation. An awful experience.

You didnt love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None. I just hope that other people will not let this one put them off NLP, which is a fascinating subject.
