Bought Two Copies
I actually got this book at the library first, but enjoyed it so much I wanted to own my own copy. I bought two so that I would have one to loan out. I guess now I am my own little library.

How To Think Like Einstein
"How To Think Like Einstein" by Scott Thorpe is a good introductory title on the subject of creative thinking.
Among the topics covered include:
1. Sometimes great solutions are found by breaking the rules.
2. Many of the obstacles we face lie within us.
3. 4 steps of the Einstein rule-breaking process.
4. Suggestions for defining the right problem.
5. Ideas that may be bad may actually lead you to a breakthrough solution for your problem.
6. A seed idea provides focus away from well-worn ideas and rules about solving your problems.
7. 6 techniques for making good ideas out of a seed idea.
8. Great ideas need time to grow.
9. Having a creative environment in an organization can sometimes be difficult to do.
10. Changing your routine or leisure activities or art can be a great way to improve your creativity.
While I am sure there are other books that deal with creativity on a more advanced level, this title serves as a good introduction to the topic.
Read and enjoy.
Recommended.
Not much new.
This book is interesting, but it doesn't offer much of anything new. I think the highlight is the stressing of breaking rules to advance. There is some applicability of that in the real world. A lot of the other points are either trite or not applicable.
Very Useful Book
I read this book because Charles Koch the business genius mentioned it in his book "The Science of Success." If Charles Koch found it useful, I concluded that I would benefit from reading it too. It is indeed useful and easy reading for anyone who wants to increase their creative and problem solving skills.
