Yesterday, we learned that Noah’s ark wasn’t a cute little fairy-tale ark. It was a massive wooden ship over 500 feet long!
Now, that’s almost 200 feet longer than the height of the famous Big Ben clock tower and longer than the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza! It’s one and a half football fields in length, and three NASA space shuttles would fit across the ark’s deck.
The ark was a massive ship. Many of us are so used to seeing the ark as a little flimsy boat, we forget how big it actually was. Noah had more than enough room for two of every kind of land animal, food, supplies, and his family aboard the ark.
