  • S1E56: The Fascination with True Crime
Cindy and Adam discuss the phenomenon of being fascinated (and a little bit obsessed) with True Crime.
Whether it's a podcast, documentary, docu-series, or book, it seems as though many of us find True Crime to be compelling and captivating. But what does this say about us as people? Does our obsessions touch on something a bit deeper? Or is it more of an indicator that real life is always better than fiction?
We then discuss our favorite True Crime shows and podcasts, as well as how the genre itself has completely changed the podcasting space.

  • S1E52: Revisiting Cancel Culture
With the recent controversy surrounding Dr. Seuss, Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head, and Chris Harrison of the Bachelor and Bachelorette franchise, Cindy and Adam revisit the topic of Cancel Culture.

  • S1E50: Are We Living in a Simulation?
Reflecting on the theory popularized by philosopher Nick Bostrom and supported by Elon Musk, Cindy and Adam discuss whether or not we are living in base-reality or in a simulation.
The theory has gained steam lately as physicist Hong Qin presented research that may support the notion that we are living in a simulation, which raises the question: Is life a product of a virtual reality that is indistinguishable from base-reality? Are the laws of physics and biology part of the "rules" of the game that we are bound to? Or is this truly life and fundamental reality that we are experiencing and, basically, "who cares?"
