In this episode, we discuss Indian Horse and select a solemn scene depicting suicide as our POCcorn moment. This episode is dedicated to National Indigenous Peoples Month, and this film in particular highlights the trauma and abuse inflicted upon said people.

With each of us having two kiddos, we share our expectations and realities around raising siblings.

Along the way, we realize that each child is on their own timeline, that comparison IS the thief of joy, and that we must extend grace to each other while leaving room for plenty of laughter.

Jabari is growing up in this episode, and a big part of that is realizing the Santa Clause isn't real. We discuss what childhood events transitioned us from the "innocence" of childhood, and review our own personal Santa stories as well.

Fiction has taken a step into realism by casting actors of color in world wide phenomenon's such as The Little Mermaid, Rings of Power and House of Dragons. Unfortunately, many fans of the Caucasian race are expressing their disapproval. We breakdown why Haters Gon' Hate.

What started as a conversation on how we approach education methodologies for the kiddos shifted into a much needed discussion/rant about the hard work of parenting without the support and monetary assistance of those in power. 

Along the way we shared the ridiculous ways we've had to manage governmental requirements, the sad fact that our beloved childcare workers are severely #underpaid and #undervalued, and come up with with parental #vows of our own. 

This was a cathartic episode for us and we hope you enjoy it!
