"Lies" indeed. The movie is full of them. Don't listen to those people next door Michelle Pfeiffer. Don't listen to Harrison Ford either. They're all liars. And confusing liars at that. A woman is crying out for Michelle to help save her from her husband but then is all, "It's because I love him so much." Ok girl. You do you. Either way, we are here for your drama. It's also a thriller/ghost story starring a Nancy Meyers-type house. You will not regret watching it. We pair it with a bottle of wine that is a lovely donation from Emily. Thank you! It is a really solid bottle of Red Raspberry from Rose Bank Winery.

"Remember, inside every girl there's a boy." Some deep wisdom from "She's the Man." It's the fully fluff Amanda Bynes vehicle that was way better than it probably should have been. She really goes for it in this movie and it pays off. Is she winning awards for it? No. Did we laugh? Totally. We paired it with Gentleman's Collection 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon.

We're purging ourselves of a deep dive on the "Scream" series by getting into "Scary Movie." Sure it's mostly "Scream" but it fully rips it apart and it's totally worth a watch. It's a great modern take on a spoof. We paired it with Prophecy Pinot Noir. It has a jester on the label so we figured it worked.

The "Scream" Series. It has been a journey, and it all ends here with "Scream 4." And Aleigh has never seen it because she's a full mess. It's a solid mainstream horror movie with some good old fashioned Ghostface slasher fun, but for a new generation. We have a good time watching it and you probably will too. Especially if you pair it with our final wine in the 19 Crimes series called The Uprising. We thought it would be a good fit because it's young kids rising up against their elders. Those no-good good-for-nothin' kids.

"Scream 3," the movie that rounded out a trilogy that turned into a...five-ogy? Cinqogy? Pentology? Let's go with pentology. Or quintet. Regardless, this movie was the original end to the landmark "Scream" series. It's stupid and it's amazing. There are no rules anymore. Everything is crazy. And we are here for it. We pair it with another 19 Crimes red called The Banished for reasons that become clear by the end of the movie.

It's time for Part Deux, as they say. We watch "Scream 2," the sequel that's twice as murdery as part one! Maybe it is. We're not sure. We didn't do the math. But it's a good slasher movie! Halloween season is already upon us! We decide to really lean into it this year and watch a full horror series...while drinking wine. We're watching all four "Scream" movies. Obviously, up first is "Scream." This meta-aware horror stand out managed to revitalize the slasher genre in the mid 1990's. It revamped the idea of the "opening kill," took teens seriously as characters, and managed to make us laugh a bit. How could we not watch it? We pair it with 19 Crimes Cali Red, which was pretty great.

Halloween Season starts a little early with "Cabin In The Woods," the genre blending masterpiece from Joss Whedon. Sure it was shelved for like, years prior to release. That usually means the movie will be dead on arrival, but "Cabin" persevered and made us all smile, feel slightly confused, and then nod in approval. We pair this movie with The Show Cabernet Sauvignon. The name plays into the schtick and the label is a picture of the woods. Good right?

Jambo! Welcome to Season 2! We're hitting the ground running with "Mean Girls," which is kind of the perfect movie. At this point it's almost 20 years old and it's still funny and still quotable. If the future remembers only one thing from our generation I hope that it's "Mean Girls." We wanted to make it a bit of a celebration so we pair it with a sparkling wine called Pink.

It's the Season 1 Finale of Whine and a Movie! We can't believe it's been a whole year since we started. To celebrate, we're wrapping up the season with "Sucker Punch," the fantastical action/drama that def needs some love. It's got a solid storyline and great visuals. Sure it's not the best movie out there but it's worth it. We pair it with Raw Power 2015 Shiraz.
