  • Random Thoughts
Just a “clown nose on” in another messy stream of consciousness. Let me know when your “knows” lights up. None of this is real. Hardly even the things you can touch. Don’t make assumptions unless you take to plan no action, or will you act outside of understanding? When understanding is not reciprocal, Taking is Haste. Haste-s=hate.Hate is born in fear, outside of understanding.

  • Poshmark Seller Update!
Just verified this good info! That is like an early Holiday gift. On behalf of all Poshmark sellers, and myself I’d like to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude. Thank you Manish! While other platforms have demotivated some of the most gung-ho resellers, you have not let us down. Not to mention the buyer and seller protection on poshmark in some of the most compassionate and reasonable one that I know. Please before I share these thoughts, they are not to complain, but to make suggestions on ways to further strengthen the seller community on poshmark. Off the top of my head, I can think of a number of things that would make Poshmark even more of a perfect selling platform while I know it is the best in my book already. Here are a few off the top of my head: Partner with a cryptocurrency exchange such as crypto.com, one of the largest and most secure cryptocurrency exchanges to accept cryptocurrency for paymentsaccept cashapp payments directly without the use of a debit card. Negotiate Group Rate for Sellers to opt into a la carte health care, dental and vision insurance coverage Seller flex spending accounts that % of sales could be allocated to pre-tax for health related medical expenses including all of the above. Negotiate Group discount rates for car and truck rentals for the serious resellers regardless if moving inventory, traveling to a poshmark convention, or a private engagement. Wholesale Seller supplies such as labels, tape, poly mailers, boxes, etc, bought through poshmark and drop shipped by respective supplier.

  • Casualties of a silent war
Hi folks. Thank you for listening! Whether you’re a subscriber or brand new, you’re in the right place. This is Brian of The Whispering Pirate Podcast. Recently, I’ve been recording candid conversations during my Uber rides, and this is the second of those recordings that I’m excited to share with you. There’s definitely more to come, and I hope you’ll share this episode with friends or anyone who might enjoy or be entertained by these ongoing conversations—just a couple of normal guys, no official papers on the wall.I believe that conversations like these make podcasting one of the most valuable advancements since the printing press—though I don’t own a press and probably never will! But I’m not here to push information to provoke or sway you with emotional tactics. My goal is to guide you through some discoveries, even the hard ones that aren’t always easy to sit with afterward. And to be 100% real with you, I have some advice: if you have a family to support or just want to live peacefully, and you’re not sure you can handle the truth, maybe don’t go looking for it—whether it’s about your history, someone else’s, or even your relationship. If you’re not ready for the truth, you may want to focus on building yourself up first. But here’s the catch: you often don’t know where your soft spots are until you confront some raw truth that knocks the wind out of you. If you've been emotionally crippled by painful truths before, it might be more productive to prepare yourself to face them again, rather than seek them out blindly. It sounds obvious, but you never know how hard that liberty bell rings until it’s rung.If you have ever been accused of ruining dinner because of the puzzles you’re putting together at a birds-eye-view…This is Brian, and if I’m not back soon with another episode of The Whispering Pirate Podcast, check the older material for golden nuggets until I make it back. I’ve been wrestling with my own truths and how I cope with them—it isn’t always easy but for sure it’s always real. Just be sure you know, I am not about to give up on doing what I can do to elevate the conversation. No matter what kinds of truth we think we hold and what kinds of truth that we seek, we are still just high functioning monkeys on this big life boat in space…not everyone is going to digest what’s real in the same ways. As much as it might make you want to throw up in your mouth, do what you can to be compassionate to those who have no friggin’ clue or how to get one if they need it. Someday they may be going through the grieving processes that you have made it through to get here now. Someday they may be only other ants you have to band together and take that scorpion down. Until another Right here Right now, be well and have a blessed day. This is Brian of the Whispering Pirate Podcast Signing off.

  • Unexpected Wisdom: Michael’s Story of Struggle and Hope
Welcome to the true first episode of The Whispering Pirate Podcast. This recording came about on a whim after a chance encounter in the Walmart parking lot in Janesville, Wisconsin. I had just finished picking up a vintage black merino wool cardigan sweater when I noticed a man parked in his wagon-style vehicle with a small trailer attached. He was lying down, reading, and after a bit of curiosity got the better of me, I struck up a conversation. His name is Michael, and when I asked if he’d be open to an immediate interview, he said ‘yes.’ What followed was a raw, candid conversation about his struggles with addiction and the work he does with the homeless. Michael didn’t want to share too many personal details, wishing only to be remembered as ‘Michael.’ But what he did share was powerful, and I think you’ll find it just as compelling as I did.Though my microphone failed during the recording, thanks to Michael Winter (a different Michael), we managed to restore the audio, and I’m grateful for that. If you know Michael and would like to hear more from him in a future episode, please let him know, as I’d be more than happy to talk with him again.

  • Thanks for blowing it yesterday b.
Welcome back to The Whispering Pirate Podcast. If you saw how much of a fool I made of myself earlier and you’re still here—get a life! Haha. My rookie mistake with the sound turned that recording into a nearly impossible-to-understand mess. So, before I call it a night, I wanted to come back and revisit what was on my mind this morning.I’m revisiting this because what I was talking about runs deep for me—my experience of moral injury after participating in two wars, first as a Navy petty officer and then as a sergeant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. I’ve touched on this before, but I feel it’s important to look at this part of my journey with fresh eyes. The weight of these experiences is something I continue to reflect on and try to make sense of.For many veterans, myself included, the battles don’t end when we come home. This episode is a re-do, a continuation of the conversation, exploring how my choices to join and the consequences of war left scars I never anticipated. It’s personal, but I hope it offers some insight—and maybe even a little peace—to those who’ve been walking a similar path. Thanks for joining me again as I guide you through some of the thoughts surrounding this challenging but necessary conversation.

  • The 11th of September
I need to break the silence about some things when it comes to being Brian right now. This isn’t about me as much as it is about trying to make myself better understood, to help others who may be at their wit’s end trying to understand and develop compassion for their loved ones and the world around them. Please forgive my audio. I will be coming back to re record and share some of these things again. Sometimes capturing the moment isn’t perfect, and is best done with all 5 senses.Guys, I haven’t been doing my best. For a long time, I struggled to find my true purpose in life, and I looked to reselling as a way to buy myself some room to figure it out. That journey has led me to some very cool people and places. But the value I seem to give the most of, I haven’t been able to ask money for. So now, I’m going to ask for it anyway, and see if anyone wants to support me in realizing my purpose. If you’re down with that and want to support my journey, you can find my Cash App link below.I now know that part of my life’s purpose is doing exactly what I’m starting here. And to those who have already contributed time, energy, or money to my success—thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I wouldn’t have made it this far, with my life force so securely attached to my body, without you. This is also for all those who’ve carried the weight of truths that, as Tracy Chapman might have said in her song ‘Change,’ cannot be soothed.Through a miraculous sequence of events, here I am again, sitting before you, in awe that it’s even possible. Today, I’m sharing part of my journey that’s shaped who I am now. As a Navy petty officer and a sergeant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, I went to war twice. But it wasn’t the battles overseas that left the deepest scars—honestly, I never even heard a gunshot—it was the moral injury that cut deeper than anything else.Right now, I’ve only been granted 10% military disability for the ringing in my ears. But let me tell you, I’m grateful to be here. There’s no doubt in my mind that a force greater than us put in a lot of energy to make sure I’m sitting here, writing to you now.I’ll admit my delivery might be a little scattered at times, so bear with me. If you have questions, I’d be happy to answer them, or maybe your thoughts will guide us into future conversations, dictations, or interviews. Please share this podcast on Substack, Subscribe and Stay tuned for more more and less refined recordings such as this.If you would like to donate to my doing more of this type of work:https://cash.app/$Ou81R2D2
