The #whitesox open the season in exactly 50 days and report to spring training next week. Before pitchers and catchers report, pitching coach #ethankatz stops by the #rekap studios for a conversation with #guff and Brian Anderson. Katz is entering his 5th season with the Sox, with a new manager for a 3rd time. They discuss what the rollercoaster has been like since winning the #alcentral in 2021 to finishing with the worst record in baseball in 2024. 

Guff goes over some of the true success stories during his tenure. From #lucasgiolito, #dylancease, #lancelynn & #carlosrodon to veterans like #johnnycueto and #chrisflexen to last year’s dominance by #garrettcrochet. Katz has seen it all in a short time. 

Now that the Sox have picked a lane and are in a rebuild under #chrisgetz, Guff asks if that helps make the water any clearer. Katz says he wants to win, and that’s what he’s preparing for.
