Whitgift Conversations

#002 - Welcome back to Whitgift School, the podcast where we talk to staff, parents and pupils about topics that are relevant to you. In this episode we’re talking IB, the International Baccalaureate.

Emma Mitchell, Director of IB at Whitgift School, talks us through who the IB is aimed at, what the benefits are for students, she addresses some of the concerns that some parents might have about IB and also what its future is in schools.

So if you’ve ever wondered about the IB, or even just want to know what it is, then this episode is especially for you.

Let’s step into this episode now with Director of IB at Whitgift, Emma Mitchell.

#001 - Welcome to Whitgift School, the place where we talk to staff, parents and pupils about topics that are relevant to you. In this episode, our very first, we speak to Headmaster Chris Ramsey.

Chris will be explaining to us some of the origins of the school, what advice he might give to a parent considering single-sex vs a co-educational school (and his answer might not be what you expect), but then we’ll be hearing all about how Whitgift helps to develop pupils in all the other aspects of growing up outside of academic success.

We also get to find out some of Chris’s favourite music, he’s movie choices for a Friday evening and even what drink he might choose to enjoy with that.

That’s all coming up in this episode with Chris Ramsey.
